we arrived at the Lagos embassy at about 5.30am because our appointment was for 7am. so we paid for chairs to sit down, instead of standing and at about 6.45am they called for the 7am appt to line up. my fiancee went in and came out at about 10am. I couldn't read the expression on his face as he walked towards me. the thing i saw was a huge smile on his face then i knew that we got it in the bag.
He said they asked him the following questions
who is the petitioner?
how did you guys meet?
who is her closest friend at work?
The CO asked him if he has anything else to show him, then my fiancee brought out pictures and the CO flipped through the pictures, raised his head and said i am going to give you a Visa.
my fiancee thanked him and left.
Am so excited. thanks to the reviews on visa journey which helped us a great deal in preparing for the interview

So my fiance and I arrived at the Consulate in Lagos at around 5.30am. By about 6am they advised for ppl with 6.30am appt and 7am appts to line up and everyone else should sit down and wait. ( BTW if you want to sit in a chair in Lagos outside its 100 Naira)....And if you're a petitioner you will be waiting outside until they are finished with the entire interview. My fiance' interview was scheduled at 7am but his actual interview began at around 10:15. He was asked these questions:
-Oath to tell the truth
-Who petitioned for you
-How did you meet
-What years has she visited you
-What does she do
-Does she live in an apt or a house? He said apt
-How many rooms
-How many roommates
-What are their names
-Where does she work
-What do you do
He went through some of our emails and asked questions about the topics in our emails so read through your emails. He asked to see call logs, pictures, and all ... read complete review

My fiancee and i got to the consulate at 11:30am in time for the 1pm appointment. At 12:30pm we were asked to line up by the security guards and promptly ushered into the waiting area. Few minutes later after security checks at the gate and we were on our way into the consulate building. Inside the interview room, there were at least 50 people already seated. I took a seat and waited for my queue number to come up the screen. I had to wait for close to 3 hours before i was called eventually. I was the last person to leave the interview room! lol. Anyway, i had time to compose and prepare myself mentally while i waited by listening to other people's interview question and answers., and believe me, while u stand there, getting drilled by these COs, everyone else in the room hears everything you were asked and your responses. Most of the people that were denied was because they couldn't provide convincing answers to the questions. One lady was asked to provide her husband's tax papers an... read complete review

My fiance was asked to bring an evidence that we were actually planning for a wedding, I guess the guy must have had a bad day for him. We have everything except we don't communicate much via emails which we have started doing. Its really tough having to wait that long but I thank the Almighty God that we were not denied.
