It has happened again, I Thank the Lord he is very good. I got to the US embassy in Lagos around 6am, and my appointment was for 7am. there where already over hundreds of people sitting and standing close to the gate to be ushered in, I got to pay 100 naira just to sit in a plastic chair, hahaha. Then they let us in and started security check, umm umm umm ummm, I got into the building, Then my number was call. my number was not called, what I heard was a black lady screaming my name. I stood up went there and she was very nice, she too my documents and ask my to seat back down. I was kept there from 7am to 12noon when this lil America lady keep looking at me, she brought my file, I was sitting right in from of her counter, I could see she has my file but she did not call me, she took the file somewhere else, and called Another person. Then I got scared but I got on my grip and just smiled.

I can't begin to tell you how excited I am to finally be at this point of the process and to be able to write a review!!! I pray it helps future couples prepare for their own interview process.

.............

I joined my husband in Nigeria two days before our interview process taking along a shirt and tie for him. (Yep, he's pretty in pick and paisley!) He wore slacks, dress shoes, shirt, tie and belt. No jacket.

On the morning of our interview we got up early, ate breakfast, bathed and dressed. Two of my brother-in-laws were present along with me and my husband. We said a prayer over our travels and interview process and headed out the door by 8am with a pull behind carry on suit case and an over the shoulder bag full of photo albums and additional evidence should it be asked for.

Our appointment was 10am so we planned to leave a little before 8am. (First mistake!) If you have a 10am appointment, you should leave by 6:30-7am!<... read complete review

.... He was approved in less than ten minutes. My fiance was interviewed by an black american male. He was not asked for any of our evidence. I front loaded about 30 lbs with my initial application. He was asked four questions ...who is petitioning for you, where does she work, who introduced you, y marry in USA not Nigeria. My fiance said the guy was friendly. Everything he brought was not reviewed. They had enough evidence from me. But he did notice the black american woman was denying people. If you can front load tons of evidence with your I 129-F app it will take pressure off your fiance/fiancee during their interview. Also my fiance let the guy know (he was not asked was I here or how many times I visited) I was in the parking lot and asked him if he want to see my passport. As he pulled it out the guy said no I don\\\'t need that. Your visa is approved go pick it up at this address on this paper.. Thank Jehovah we can now sleep..

For some reason, I can't seem to be able to reply to messages, or comment on my own profile, so I have read all your congratulatory messages and I appreciate them all. My husband and i are so excited. Even though he still thinks visa journey got me unnecessarily worked up. Especially since i had taken to calling him at weird hours to ask for some document or some abstract information which i saw on VJ. While I think visa journey made me prepared.

So, I got to the embassy for my 10am appointment with 2 hours to kill. Was flustered Initially because I was soo afraid of being late. But glad I got there on time. Was accompanied by some distant relative of my husbands who my mother in law sent to baby sit me. Well, she was good company.

By a few minuites to 10, the guards come out and announce that all those for immigrant visa 10am interview should queue to the left, every human being gets up and attempts to queue. The guards keep repeating 10am, immigrant, ... read complete review
