It has been some crazy weeks for me before I was able to upload my review. I will go in a lot of details, because when I was waiting for my visa to be approved I started reading every review as a maniac. So it is only fair for me to help others with this.
I'll start with the medical:
I called in, and got a friendly lady on the phone, they usually schedule u in a week before the interview date. Take ur passport with u, 4 AMERICAN sized pictures (I know it says different on some of the things, but take 4 with you). And ur vaccination record (if u don't have it u can email the RIVM and they will find it for you) if u are missing vaccinations and u have the right insurance, get them before hand, so you won't have to pay. The vaccinations u need are:
DTP
Flueshot (if in season)
BMR
Take also cash with you (no cards), 140 euros for the medical and 50 for the X-RAY. (save the receipts).
When u get in... read complete review

So we arrived at the set time and there was a line outside of the consulate. No one was outside directing people where to go or who should be lined up first (this is important as the line isn't purely K-1 fiance petitioners). One guard did pop his head out and I told him we had an appointment for 13:00 (I think - honestly I can't remember the time anymore) when it was already 45 minutes past. He was very rude and told us to just get in line, so we did.
When my fiance got in (I, the American citizen wasn't allowed in the consulate) the same guard checked his paperwork and said, "Oh, why didn't you say you had an appointment for an hour ago?" At that point we had been waiting outside in the cold for well over an hour. My fiance responded that I had told him and he said to wait. The guy brushed us off.
When my fiance got into the waiting room for K-1 visas there was only one window open for about 8 waiting people. There was a man from Syria with a screaming i... read complete review

Hello people
I have one simple question.
After your interview in Amsterdam and a YES they send you the visa by mail PostNL.
Do you get an e-mail notification that the envelop is on his way to your address?
Thanks

I walked to the consulate and joined the line, some guard yelled that the people coming for the immigrant visas (vs the non-immigrant visas) had to go and stand in front of the line.
So I ended up standing in front of the line and I went into the building first.
I didn't bring anything but my files so I went through security went pretty fast. (no phones or other electronic devices!) The immigrant visa people had to go to a different room then the one I went to last time when I came for my B-2. (I got denied for a B-2 before)
But it was very similar, a small room with 5 counters with people behind windows. I was called to window number 5 and there was a very nice Dutch speaking man, asking me for my birth certificate, police records and proof of support. I was very organized and he was very impressed and happy about that.
I had to sit down again, talked to some other girls going for the K-1 visa that were sitting there. (they applied for the visa in May, t... read complete review
