Review Topic: K1 Visa

My interview experience was very good as I found all staffs were very helpful even Nepali too. (I had heard about Nepali staffs being rude and mean in other reviews but that didn't happen to me)

My interview was on Oct 26,2016. I got a call from the embassy on Oct 21, it was Nepali lady and she told me "you have your interview on 26th Oct and you have sent your DS-160 but have not sent of your son's DS-160. So, you need to send it before your interview". I told her I have sent ds 160 of both of us. And gave her the confirmation No. Of my son ds-160 and she found it in her system (may be she didnt see it before) then ask for apology and hung up.

On my interview day:-
My interview was at 7:45am, got there around 7:20am, gate was not opened , there was few police(sasastra police) in the gate. I asked one of them I have an appointment at 7:45am when I can able to go in? He told me security guard will open the gate at 7:30am and when he show the time l... read complete review

My wife had interview scheduled at 7:45. She was allowed to enter at 7:45am. She had to give the documents they asked on interview letter and was called for fingerprint and called for interview. As per her she wasn't asked any question. Officer showed all the document i submitted at nvc and officer asked if that papers were her original papers and she said yes and officer showed the human traficking papers and asked do you know what this is. Then she was told her visa was approved. Very smooth.

Finally all ours patience and hard work comes to an end !!

Interview was at 0915. Was very nervous and anxious about the interview.
Wake up and reviewed all the frequently asked questions with my wife from
( http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Consular_Interview_Questions ).
Its really helpful. U can find all the questions you may face in your interview.
Got Embassy around 0830 and after showing my appointment letter i went through the main gate and waited in the line outside the security. All the belongings were kept there and given a token, again we left that room and waited in another line to enter the main building. Once we got the main interview building, the lady on the left asked for all my documents and she herself clipped it after putting it in right order. She gave me the Token and told me to be seated. At first they will call u again to revie... read complete review

Review Topic: General Review

My wife interviewed for a fiancee visa in January of this year. The experience was a bit mixed, both good and bad. I am a very proactive guy so was always trying to stay ahead of the process, so found it a bit frustrating because we were told one thing and many times something different would happen:
1) we never got an interview letter (letter confirming her interview needed to enter the embassy) from the Embassy for her to enter for an interview. After about 6 weeks, I wrote the embassy several times and they finally confirmed her interview in an email. It took about 3 months from the time the application was sent to the embassy until we got the interview appointment letter
2) You need to have photo copies of ALL documents or you will be turned back. My fiancee forgot to photo copy her police report - one piece of paper and a photo copier was in sight. But they would not let her photo copy it. Fortunately she was rescheduled for an interview a week later.
