Let me start my review by saying I am glad we don't have to deal with this consulate again anytime soon. They responded only to my initial email by sending a FAQ about K-1 visa processing. After sitting on my husband's (then fiance's) approved petition for almost 2 months and not responding to ANY communication, I had to get my Senator's office involved. That seemed to work miracles. They responded to him, to my recent email, and even sent the packet to my loved one. I think they are overwhelmed and understaffed. The interview went ok and we were both never so happy as when he picked up the visa and we got to leave the consulate behind!

I am so diguested with Casablanca right now. They have been sitting on my K1 packet since the end of September. I have sent them 2 emails and only received a response (Q&A). They still have not addressed either of my emails with any status info. As a matter of fact based on the Q&A they did send they have pasted all of their time frames. I had to get my senator's office involved. They committed the Casablanca is one of the worst consulate for it being so small. Why would I be surprised by that comment, anyways based on the feedback my FI will have his interview in January. I am very sad because we thought he would be here for my birthday, xmas and NY.

The consulate in Morocco is not certainly far from friendly. The CO was cold and indifferent, wasn't interested in seeing all of the evidence. And handed over a 221(g) with no explanation as to what it was and why. When my husband asked what it was for he said more security checks. When he asked how long he acted really put out and said I don't know and walked off. We feel he was much more interested in proving our marriage is a fraud than in learning the truth. We were instructed by the consulate to go to our local CIS office, so I did. They have no idea why they sent me to them and suggested that we consult with our Congressman. He told me "your husband's petition was approved, he has a right to be here".
