My wife had her medical exam on Monday 31 May at one of the two approved clinics just a block away from our new consulate general bldg. Then we had her interview the next day. Go to the medical clinic and the consulate as early as you can, there was a large crowd when we arrived at both places before 6:00 a.m. Whatever you do, do NOT lose the number ticket you receive when you start waiting for processing at the consulate or you will have to come back the next day. STRONGLY SUGGEST that everyone bring all supporting documents, letters, cards, MoneyGram receipts, long distance \'phone cards, photos, wedding albums, bills, lease contracts, health care powers of attorney (showing your spouse as one of your health care agents in case of emergency), extra certified copies of BOTH spouses\' birth certificates, marriage certificate, etc. that you can. We carried in a gym bag with at least 30 lbs. of documents, just in case. Guess what our interviewing consular officer needed to see (aft... read complete review

We arrived separately on Monday afternoon. I flew into El Paso and took a cab to the Holiday Inn, then a couple of hours later took the hotel shuttle to the Juarez airport and picked up my fiancee. We took a cab back to the hotel and had dinner at Barriga's next door. Great food, service and atmosphere. We ate there every night. We would recommend the Holiday Inn. Clean. Helpful staff. Security. Free breakfast. Free Happy Hour Tues-Fri. Nice 2.5 star hotel. We felt completely safe there.

Tuesday morning we were up early and walked to the CMI clinic. We arrived at 6:15. The guard told me I would probably be waiting for a couple of hours so I walked back to the hotel. At 7:40, my fiancee called and said she was finished and on her way back to the hotel. By the time I got the elevator and went downstairs, she was coming in the front door.

She said the process was very well organized. They ask for her passport and appointment letter, address in Juarez or the ... read complete review

Approved!!!!!

We flew into El Paso Sunday. Outside were plenty of cabs which all charge the same rate to the hotels in Juarez $60 an extra $5 because my fiance had to stop at customs to drop of his I-94 form. Our cab driver George was the best and I highly recommend him(United Independent Cab 915-590-8294) He gave us a lot of background about the city, how to stay safe, info about what time we should go to the medical, even took us to show us the consulate even though it was past our hotel. He gave us his card with his personal cell #915-274-4511 and said to give him a call when we cross the border

Stayed at La Quinta Inn, not as close as the Holiday Inn to the consulate but it was $10 cheapier a night through Orbitz. The hotel includes hot breakfast every morning, fridge and microwave in every room and they offer a free shuttle everywhere you need to go including the border. Hotel was nice and would recommend.

Went to medical at 6:15am, wen... read complete review

I flew into Mexico City from Denver and my wife from Minatitlan. We then flew into Juarez together the next morning after spending the night at her sister's house. We flew Aeromexico and got into Juarez at about 1 PM (I highly recommend getting a flight that arrives during the day). Once we got to the Hotel (La Quinta Inn: I'll talk more about the hotel situation in a second) we had the hotel shuttle take us to Banamex across the street from the Consulate and we paid about 150 dollars and got the receipt. We then returned to the hotel and relaxed the rest of the afternoon/night.

Hotel: La Quinta Inn. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone going to Juarez for Visa Purposes. It is right around the corner from all of the consular services and you can see it from the hotel. The Hotel provides a free shuttle to any of the places that you need to go for the visa, and they will take you to the international bridges once you get the visa. It is well secured and felt very safe.... read complete review
