Review Topic: K1 Visa

We arrived On a Monday to get situated. Tuesday we went to the medicals at the clinic nearest to the embassy since I read on some bad stuff regarding the other clinic. My wife was given her physical and xrays for tb. Our daughter was given a tb shot. We had to return 2 days later for results of daughters tb. Since we had an open appointment we went on Friday with the medical plus tb results for daughter. We arrived at 7am to find a long ass line :|
I asked guard how long the wait would be . He asked what we were here for. I showed him the invite for the open appointment and told me to walk right through. So my wife and daughter went in and I waited outside till about 4pm in that hot blazing sun. I waited across the street in this lil shaded store that does paperwork for visa's . So make sure and go to the guard and show them your invite so you wont have to wait in that line. Good luck!

Here is my review (for my baby son permanent residence):

We arrived to Cd Juarez on Wednesday October 27... the taxi from de airport to La Quinta Inn was $248 pesos. The shuttle service take us next morning to the Medical Clinic at 6.30 am.. I did not received the appoinment letter in Mexico..so my friend in USA scanned for me and send it by e mail..I just printed it and they accepted the letter without a problem.

They did not let my husband go with us.. they sent him to a waiting room ..and my baby and I went to a window when a very nice man asked us for his passport, the appoinment letter, the vaccines record and took a picture of him. He gave us a card with a number, then we went to a waiting room and they separate men from women and children. A female doctor asked us to go inside a room and I had to take off his clothes (just left the diaper). Then we waited until she returned and just checked him very quicky.. because he is a baby they did not take hi... read complete review

ACCOMMODATIONS:We arrived on an Interjet flight from Mexico City and took an airport taxi to La Quinta Inn for about 20$. La Quinta Inn is gated and off the main "Consulate Row". The street is still busy, but with the windows closed it is silent. The hotel itself is very nice and clean. The beds are comfortable, flat screen TV, desk, wireless internet, tubs, mini-fridge and microwave, hairdryers, iron etc in every room. Breakfast is extended continental- cereal, yogurt, fruit, milk, juice, coffee, waffles, eggs, and beans. There is no lunch or dinner but many local places will deliver (Denny's, Papa John's Pizza, etc). The hotel has computers, printer, small gym, pool, laundry, parking and the free shuttle that will take you pretty much everywhere you will need to go. We booked on the laquinta website and paid $52 a night, which was well worth it. I highly recommend this hotel for this purpose.
