Just so yall know: I think our particular experience was unique because we were one of the few that landed in Juarez in a time of transition and so a change that was supposed to be seamless created a crack that we fell into for a little while.
This is a long review because I want to tell our full story and also answer all the questions I had along the way.
Preface:
Like most of you we waited about an eternity from NOA1- NOA2. We decided to file when we found out we were pregnant and at that time had no doubt that we would be together in the US for the birth of our child. In the meantime we investigated every possible resource and prepared our "packet 3" in advance. During the wait a few of the forms expired and we redid them. We went to three different cities on the bus and got the "ancendentes no penales" and even rented a PO box in a neighboring city since the address we were living at had never seen a piece of mail come anywhere close. Process went very smooth, and the hotels are very knowledgeable if you have questions. Unfortunately it is one of the three busiest consulates in the world and it's in ciudad Juarez. So it takes time and there is not much to occupy your time. It's Safe....ish there. Take cabs from the hotel and airport only and done go out at night. You don't have to be scared but more over you don't have to be stupid either. There is a mall nearby, and who doesn't love Sanborns! Give yourself three maybe four days to do everything done. I bought a one way ticket for myself and my wife and waited till we were approved to buy my ticket home.javascript:emoticon(' ')

So I'm going to write a review to help all of those coming next since they changed the process, since a couple VJ friends helped me before...
After about a month after CDJ received our K-1 packet they sent the invitation letter. I got here here in the US about 2 weeks later (my MX fiance never got hers, so dont expect it to ever come in MX). Also, FYI you have to wait for the letter, you no longer can go to CDJ and have them print it out.
Now you have to schedule the following: 1) ASC appt 2)Visa Interview 3) DHL location you want visa sent to.
So I tried using the website but it is new and confusing and not really working, maybe in the future it will be better, but I used the phone for everything. I called 703-439-2313, dialed 2 for english, then 1, then 1 i think, etc, then one of the options in menu is "for k-1 visas only to pay MRV fee". I paid the fee ($350) over the phone w/ credit card on the automated system. *Warning, after you pay it reads off... read complete review

Well I am writing this review because I really want to guide people who are in this process that turned out to be super stressful to me (sorry if my grammar is not the best), anyways here we go.
THE ARRIVAL AND HOTEL
My dad and I flew from Mexico city on sunday on Interjet (my husband had to work). We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel La quinta Inn and it cost 245 pesos.
I decided to stay at La quinta Inn because most of the reviews suggest it, I liked it, it feels very safe since it is gated, also many restaurant deliver to the hotel, and it has a shuttle that takes you everywhere you need to go, breakfast is included and they help you to print stuff. Everybody here is very nice and helpful.
THE EXAMS
HA! So we took the shuttle to the clinic on Monday at 7 AM, we went to the white building, but be careful, with the coyotes they are EVERYWHERE!. so I went inside, then I waited and waited and finally it was my turn, they took m... read complete review

Well, it’s finally my turn to contribute a detailed entry about how the visa process has gone for us here in CDJ! This is SUPER detailed, so bear with me! Haha, I just want to give back to everyone at the forum who helped me so much through this process that I figured I’d write down everything to the last detail! We met so many people who had used a lawyer (and many didn’t really have great experiences with them), and I felt so fortunate to have been able to ask all of my questions directly to everyone on the forum. It was stressful at times to get the paperwork ready, but with the help of everyone here, we were able to do it.
Here’s some background info on us just before I jump into the details:
-We’ve been together for 5 years, did long distance during college and I lived in Monterrey for a year and a half. My husband always visited the U.S. on a tourist visa and when I was in Mexico, I got an FM-3 work visa, which allowed me to file using DCF.
