The officer here did not read any of the papers brought to the interview. The visa was denied immediately. Officer needed to be told to look at the back of a paper which stated the visa petition had been approved (and he said "oh really?").
But then said denied anyway.....he was interested in hearing anything about the case that had been prepared.

Appt was at 8:15am. My husband was called into consulate punctually. He was out of interview by 10:15am. He said interview was quick, and official conducting interview was extremely polite and friendly. His visa was approved. Only thing is we found out it takes 5-10 business days to receive visa via DHL courier.

***Dear VJers i want to thank everyone for your help in assisting me with this k1 visa process. with this site i needed no attorneys and no immigration lawyers, just helpful members such as yourselves. please feel free to email me.
Here is a recollection of events for my fiancees K1 visa process. On July 2, 2011 I took a 32 hr bus trip from Chicago to Juarez which arrived on July 4th around 7 am local time. My fiancees vivaaerobus flight was not scheduled to arrive until noon that same day so what i did was took a taxi (100 pesos) from the central camionera, where i arrived, in juarez to the airport and waited for my fiancee to arrive. news flash: taxis are expensive! a 10 min trip from the airport to the consulate area is 200-240 pesos (17-21 usd).once she arrived we took another taxi from the airport to Hotel Ibis. I recommend this brand new hotel because it is located right between both medical clinics that have to be used for her physical exams. Everything i mean eve... read complete review

Wednesday, July 6th
We arrived at 6:45 am to Ciudad Juarez from Monterrey via VivaAerobus. As soon as we arrived, we took a taxi from the airport to La Quinta Inn for $245 pesos. It was about 15-20 minutes away, and the taxi and ride felt relatively safe. There were no problems using this option.
Once we arrived at La Quinta, we checked in, but had to wait for a room to be ready. We requested the shuttle to take Oscar to his medical, but we had to wait for it for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, La Quinta allowed us to have breakfast, which was perfect because we had not eaten yet. Soon, the shuttle arrived and Oscar went to the medical while I stayed and waited for the room (it was ready by 11 am).
MEDICAL:
Oscar arrived to the location where the medical buildings are... they are practically next to each other. He chose the closest one to the street, which was Clinica Medica Internacional. He went into the building where they im... read complete review
