I just wanted to write about my experience in Cd. Juarez, since it helped me so much when preparing for my interview.
Background information: My fiancé and I have been dating for almost 5 years now and got engaged on April 30, 2011, we started the whole process in May 1st, 2011; got approved on September 27, 2011; got the interview on January 3, 2012 and got the visa delivered on January 5, 2012.
HOTEL
I arrived on Sunday, January 1st, 2012 and stayed at the Ibis Consulado hotel which ended up being a great hotel for its location. It is right in between both of Medical Clinics and is about 3-5 minutes’ walk to either of them. There is also a small mall in front of it with breakfast joints, lockers and offices that take passport pictures and offer you the forms needed for the visa.
MEDICAL EXAMINATION
On Monday 2 I got early and got to the Clinica Medica de la Frontera. I picked this one because I heard it was the biggest one and as... read complete review

Oct. 14 I met up with my Husband in Saltillo, Coahuila took a bus ride to Ciudad Juarez 16 long hours uggghhh.
Oct. 15 we got a taxi to take us to our hotel(Paid 180 pesos)We got to the Hotel La Quinta Inn (Loved the hotel and staff) and we slept for a little bit then went to the mall (Across the consulate)the hotel shuttle took us and picked us up for free.
Oct. 16 Husband went to medical at 5:30 a.m hotel shuttle took him he got back at around 7 a.m and was told to go back the next day at 4 to pick up the results. he has tattos so they did a psycological exam on him (he said it was a joke they only asked him if he did drugs and what were the meaning of his tattos and she never looked at him or let him finish his sentences.)
Oct. 17 picked up results
Oct. 18 My Husband went to his visa interview but he didnt do the finger prints before because we didnt know he had to do it before the lawyer didnt tell us. he was told to go... read complete review

I want to thank you visa journey for all the help and advises in this process.
Even thou in my opinion we had a strong case, our case was a little complicated because me and my daughter were born in Peru but live legally in Mexico. I already have the Mexican nationality since 2007 but my daughter is still Peruvian. It took some time for us to collect all the documents from Peru and from Mexico that request the USCIS and NVC. USCIS approval took longer than usual for us because of our country situation. NVC was a lot faster and easy as usual.
Interview date for my daughter Dec 5th, 2011 ( my daughter’s interview was first which I thought it was weird because im the principal applicant)
Interview date for myself Dec 7th, 2011
My husband (American citizen) , daughter and I Arrived to Ciudad Juarez on Nov 28th 2011 night because the medical for children request to be at least 4 days before the interview.
Took a taxi from the airport to the hotel ... read complete review
