The consular officer that my husband interviewed with was very nice. Only one problem, they gave him a paper that said he only needed the I-601 waiver, when he actually needed two waivers, the I-601 AND the I-212.
Side note about las clinicas:
Don't go to the one on the corner! They are theives! They charged my husband for vaccinations he already had and we ended up paying $360.00 for the medical exam instead of $190.00!!!! And they don't let anyone inside for the exam except the patient. So, I couldn't be there to speak up! VERY FRUSTRATED!!!

We arrived in Juarez on Thursday, February 24th and checked in at La Quinta Inn. I would highly recommend that place! It was somewhere around $50 or 60 per night. The rooms are clean, the staff is uber helpful, and they also have a shuttle service to and from the consulate. They can also take you other short distances from the hotel, so they can possibly pick you up or drop you off at the airport/bus terminal. The only thing is that in the morning, they are often tied up with trips to the consulate, so if you need to go elsewhere plan on doing it in the afternoon. They also have a free (and quite nice) hot breakfast of eggs, beans, bread, fruit, etc… you can also get a waffle, but you have to ask for it.
You have to make your medical appointment at least 2 days in advance of your interview, so we woke up early (6am) to beat the lines at the clinic. They only accept clients until 10am, and they are closed on the weekends. We went to the first Medical Clinic on the co... read complete review

Everything was so convenient, safe and close. The staff at the ASC, Clinic and Consulate were all very friendly and helpful to my fiancee. It made the process so much less stressful!

Monday- Medical exam. i went around 7:40 am to the embassy to get the letter. they were able to print it for me. it took about 1 hour and a half i suggest you go there earlier. then we went to the clinica. once you start heading over there the coyotes will pound at you like wolfes. you will see them wearing badges. and they will ask you questions. just ignore them dont go into the rooms they send you to...
for the medical. she was asked for embassy letter and passports. it took about 2 hours. then she came out. they drew blood and examined her along with her little girl. no vaccines for k1 but they gave the kids a tuberculois shot. i went in to pay. the guard swiped his card and let me in a room where theres a tel... read complete review
