My husband had a good experience on his interview. He stayed at Juarez consulado which was a nice hotel and very close to everything. He was able to walk to all his appointments, medical exam, asc appointment, and even his interview.
He had his interview May 12, at 10:30. It took about 3 hours total. He was asked about his tattoos, his relationship with me, who he knows who lives in the US, and some other questions.
Even though the interview seemed to went well, he was unable to get an answer that day. He was informed that he needed to go through administrative processing and it would take 2-3 weeks to get an answer.
It took 6 weeks and we were told today that he was denied on 4 accounts.

Everything was very easy, the interview went very smooth and now we are very happy!
My fiance's appointment was at 7:15 AM and by 8:15 AM he was out.
I will be posting more details about the process soon!

Medical and fingerprints: Got both done in Mexico City on the same day. I had my ASC appointment at 7 a.m. and I was out by 7:30. The clinic (MEI) for the medical is right across the street from the ASC, I went in at 8, was out by 11:30, and got my results at 1:30, so it was all really fast. Everyone was really nice and efficient.
Note: I never got my invitation letter, so I had to print out a scan of my fiancée's copy (which she got in the mail roughly two weeks after Juarez received our case). If you're getting your medical and/or fingerprints done in Mexico City, I would definitely recommend making sure you have at least one copy of the letter before you schedule any appointments, since you can't go print it at the consulate like people in Juarez can, and you must get your medical done in Mexico City if you live here.
Hotel: I flew in the day before my interview and stayed at the Quality Inn. I paid $83 for one night. The taxi from the airport was 240... read complete review

First off all I want to say that once my husband and I knew the date of the interview, we booked our flights and the hotel room.
I searched for the best reviews using whatever sites you can think of like Travelocity.
The day finally came, we arrived at El Paso Monday May 16, a friend picked us up from the airport and dropped us off at the border closest to the US consulate since we booked a hotel very close to everything.
The hotel I chose was Microtel and its right by everything. I payed around 325 for 5 nights.
I have to be honest and say that I was disappointed that they made us wait two hours to give us the room. Check in was at 3, there was a lot of people and even though we asked them twice, the forgot about us or they didn't like the fact we asked what was going on, and made us wait. Other than that the room are ok, not spotless, but good enough. They offer Wifi, cable TV, good breakfast in the morning. The one washer and dryer do not work, and the... read complete review

I'll start off with saying that I think we were the "poster child" for system delays and computer crashes. Next, our interview experience was most likely influenced by the fact that we are a lesbian couple and my fiancée having 2 kids already. Not to mention, the consular officer that she had was having what looked like a bad day she said and had just been arguing and denied the person before Karla (my fiancée).
I'll preface by saying we had a problem with our initial case number issued by NVC when our case was transferred to the Juarez consulate. It was like "stuck" in limbo and wouldn't update, Karla had to go to Juarez a couple days before and ask for the invitation letter, which triggered them to research our case hadn't updated and they ended up assigning a different case number and gave her the invitation letter.
The medical experience was a mission all on it's own. We were there Friday 7am and didn't get results until Monday 2pm. They had a syste... read complete review
