My husband and myself got our appointment at the US Consulate in Juarez, Mexico on April 17th. It's a must that you have to go the day before so people at the consulate can check your documents. This is good because if you are missing something they will tell you and you will have an extra day to get it. They will ask you for the physical exam, tax forms and mexican passport. By the way, regarding the physical exams take extra money because the shots are really expensive. I was talking to a family of 3 while waiting with my husband in line to enter the consulate and they told me that they had paid about $1000 dollars for the 3 physicals. Even my husband paid $350 for his physical and 3 shots. Anyways, after they take the documents from you then they will give you a pass for the appointment the day after. The day of the appointment you have to go early because the lines get very long. The petitioner always stays outside, so if you're thinking on wearing heels girls please don't ... read complete review

so we got to the consulate at 730am. We told the guard that we had a k1 open appointment and he didnt make us get in the long line of people that had set apps. He escorted us to entrance 1. At that moment he had her pull out her invitation and hers and her daughters passport. She was then let in and was sent to room C and they asked for the invitation and the proof of payment from Banamex and they then gave her a number. It is not by order so dont expect to be called on order. Then they called her and she went to window 9 and they then asked for all her documentation that was requested. She was not given a specific list of what was needed, just to hand over all her paperwork. After that they told me to sit down and wait to be called for fingerprints. At around 45 min after they took my fingerprints. Then they told me to go to room B for the interview. There they just call your name..no number is given. About 45 min after they called me to window 31. He asked her for photos wich she kep... read complete review

I had a smooth interview. The officer was an anglo female who was just plain. I had given all documents that the NVC required us, so at the interview I had not to show anything else, they only asked me for my medical test and my prior US visa. I did not want to give my old visa because that had a special meanning to me but I had to give it. The worsest part of the whole interview experience to me was to be standing in all times during extreme weather conditions (cold). Juarez is nice city, and if you get prepare for this you will actually enjoy traveling there.

Review Topic: K1 Visa

Hello to everyone. I just got back from Juarez, MX embassy after going through the K1 process. I had a trip with no travel or paper hangups. The only problem we had was in the process.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Lincoln and I highly suggest it. We walked everyday to the embassy, its very closeby. We went to the medical appointment at 5:30am and were 272nd in line. People start lining up very early. My fiancee entered the medical building at 7:45am. She went through a long process inside. She described it as unhuman. There is a long wait between each thing. For the K1 she needed to take a picture, have blood taken, an X-ray, and have a doctor look at her while naked. Also weight and height. During this time she was in a room filled with people. Most of the exams are done while other people are in the room, very humiliating. Also it is not clean inside and the doctors and staff are extremely rude. She finsihed at 1:30pm and we had to return at 6pm to pick up the... read complete review
