My interview was on March 26, 2009. The interview went by so smoothly! All the pressure and tension I went through the application process was pretty much for nothing.
My appointment was for 1:30pm and I had to come in at 9am to submit my documents. I came in a little after 9 and there were two people in front of me for immigrant visas, though the embassy was crowded by people applying for tourist visas. I had to submit my documents, check if they were accurate and then wait. Lots of waiting involved. It took me about an hour and a half and then they told me to come back at 1:30 for the actual interview. The actual checking was very efficient though. And you have to pay a fee of USD 131 for the application process.
I left for lunch and came back around 12:45, the embassy was almost empty by then, save for the people with appointments probably. More waiting. Interview went by without a hitch. Nice interviewer, asked a few questions about my fiance, explai... read complete review

I arrived at the embassy at 8am and was told that I can only go in at 8.30am. Went through security check and was given queue number. I waited for about 10 minutes before my number was called and handed them the docs required. After checking the docs, the lady asked me to come back again at 1.30 for my actual interview. I was out of the embassy by 9.30am.
After lunch, I went back to the embassy at 1.00pm. I then again went through the security check and went straight to the waiting room. I was waiting nervously for my number to be called and there were 3 of us in the waiting room. At about 1.35pm, my number was called and I went to counter 6 for my interview.
The CO greeted me and he was young and polite.
CO: Tell me, how come you are married to a guy xx older than you?
CO: What makes you like him?
CO: How do you guys met? Where did you meet him for the first time?
He asked a few more questions ab... read complete review

The KL consulate is efficient, everybody is professional and friendly.
My interview took only about 10 minutes, though I was asked many questions related to my previous stay in US and our relationship, the conversation was casual without any hostility.
Do not be afraid to email the consulate or call them on Mon & Fri 9.00 a.m to 12.00 noon if you have any Immigrant Visa related questions. They replied my email within 1-2 days and was helpful and courteous on the phone.
They were also very accommodative with rescheduling my interview to an earlier date, I think they are really not that busy with immigrant and K visas. :-)
