I arrived at the embassy at 8am and was told that I can only go in at 8.30am. Went through security check and was given queue number. I waited for about 10 minutes before my number was called and handed them the docs required. After checking the docs, the lady asked me to come back again at 1.30 for my actual interview. I was out of the embassy by 9.30am.

After lunch, I went back to the embassy at 1.00pm. I then again went through the security check and went straight to the waiting room. The CO greeted me and he was young and polite.

The KL consulate is efficient, everybody is professional and friendly.

My interview took only about 10 minutes, though I was asked many questions related to my previous stay in US and our relationship, the conversation was casual without any hostility.

Do not be afraid to email the consulate or call them on Mon & Fri 9.00 a.m to 12.00 noon if you have any Immigrant Visa related questions. They replied my email within 1-2 days and was helpful and courteous on the phone.
They were also very accommodative with rescheduling my interview to an earlier date, I think they are really not that busy with immigrant and K visas. :-)

Everyone at the Embassy was friendly and very helpful - from the security personnel right down to the interviewer. No intimidation during any process. Everything was handled professionally.

Thanks, you guys!

The interview went well. The officers are nice and smile all the time. They asked me simple questions like, how did we met each other, what am I planning to do in states and simple stuff. Approved within seconds.
