Arrived about half an hour early, which was good because the consulate employee had to take all my papers before I could have my interview. I had everything she wanted, the only thing that was incorrect was my police clearance letter from Denmark, it contained only my maiden name. so she pointed that out. Otherwise I had to sit and wait til the Consul will talk to me. The Consul was very pleasant and polite. He asked:
1) How did you meet?
2) why exactly this chat room?
3)Is it chat room for Americans or international?
4) Have you met?
5) What did you do in Latvia?
6) Do you plan to work in USA?
7) What kinda a job do you want to have?
8) Have you met his children?
9) When is your wedding?

Despite the scary exterior and somewhat misleading directions to reach the right gate, things went very smoothly with the Warsaw consulate. The first interview appointment lasted about four hours, getting through security was fairly easy, and the people were very friendly and helpful. The interview the following day was straightforward, only spent about 45 minutes inside including security, and received the K-1 visa on schedule at 1500. We asked a lot of questions in email though it did take about 9 - 10 business days to receive a (usually) helpful response.
