After being treated very badly at this K1 interview on Sept 1, 2009, our case was returned to USCIS. We married a month later and filed the CR1. I was at the interview with my husband this time on Aug 24, 2010. The CO was rather nice this time. But we were treated like criminals by a Homeland Security investigator and DOS man.
I pity anyone who has to go through such torture at this embassy!
We are now in AP for over 3 months. I can\'t get any straight answers from the embassy about whether it is background checks or maybe we need to prepare more documents or something.
I pray we do not have to go back for another interview. I don\'t know how nice I will be!

Was the first interviewee in, the officer asked me a few simple questions- how we met, how we fell in love, if I've been to visit Khlaas in the US before...told him about that, then we talked about the different weathers of both cities and he didnt even ask to look at any of our photos or anything else, I was in and out in 5 mins. He said congratulations and told me I'll be receiving my visa in 5-10 days. got my visa in 5 days. Good system, simple interview...I give the embassy at Amman 5 stars.
I do recommend looking presentable, as I think it really makes a difference. I was surprised to find some fiancées dressed in jeans, a t-shirt and some slippers, looking like they just got out of bed to get to the interview. It was not a good look, you want the officer to see your serious intent, but without overdoing it....so casual smart dress-code would work nicely. good luck to prospect applicants at this embassy.

WELL MY HUSBAND WENT ON HIS INTERVIEW. THE WAIT WAS 3 HOURS LONG BUT THE INTERVIEW ITSELF WAS ONLY 5 MINUTES. THE CO ASKED HIM MY NAME WHERE I LIVE, WHO DO I LIVE WITH AND ABOUT THE ANNULED MARRIAGE I HAD AND WHAT WORK IS HE PLANNING TO GET HERE. THEN THE CO TOLD HIM OK CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED FOR YOUR VISA. YOU SHOULD BE GETTING IT IN HAND BETWEEN 5 AND 10 DAYS.
