He arrived 30 minutes early for his 8 am interview, and had to wait in line to go through security. After he got inside a lady met him to take his medical package and asked for his original police certificate and passport. He went to his waiting area and shortly was called to give his fingerprints. Then he waited and waited and waited for 3.5 hours, and finally got called to talk to a male CO who asked him;
How did you meet your wife?
What does she like?
What do you know about her ex husband? Why did they divorce?
Where does her daughter live? Who else lives there? What do they think about your marriage? Did you meet any of them?
How long did she stay with you in Jordan? How long did she stay the second time she visited?
What does she do? Where does she work... is it a hospital? He had to explain to him a nursing home when he couldn't remember 'nursing home'.
Amer told me he looked at the pictures a lot and asked about w... read complete review

I am the American spouse and was not at the interview. But based on my husband's report, I am surprised at how smoothly it went, and how simple the consular officer's questions were.
Basically, here is what the CO in Amman asked:
1. Did your wife come with you to the interview?
2. How did you and your wife meet?
3. When did you and your wife meet?
4. What does your wife do for a living?
5. What would your wife do if she lost her job?
6. What did you do when you were in [Country X]? (My husband has worked and lived outside Jordan in the past.)
7. Do you have photos of the wedding? (The CO glanced at a few of the wedding photos through the dividing glass.)
END OF INTERVIEW....."Congratulations, etc."
Here is what the CO did NOT ask about: children, ex-husbands, finances, future plans, sex, shared interests, our most recent argument, the color of my underclothing, blood types, the I-134, ... read complete review

Very painless. Asked about 7-8 questions. Did not ask to see ANY proof besides pictures.
The CO was interested in pictures of our wedding party showing "the family".
Also noted that Amman is very helpful and patient via email.

Oh my gosh! I just had my interview Nov. 4th, it was the easiest interview I have ever been to! I could not believe it! All those feelings of being nervous, anxious, afraid and all that I felt so stupid for afterwards! My interview was less than 5 minutes and my consular was very nice! He only asked me four questions! It was really wonderful! Thank God! If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me!
