My sweetie says he got there at at about 7:30/8am for his 9:30 interview. When he got there there was a guy from the Embassy that took his forms and organized them properly and stapled two of his pictures and the visa voucher to the DS 156. Then he went through security similar to airport security. Next he got his number and handed over his appointment letter to a worker. Then he was told to sit and wait in the immigrant visa section.

He was called to a window by a Jamaicain lady that checked off that he had all his documents and he also did his biometric finger prints. Then he sat and waitied for his number to be called for his interview. The wait was about an hour. It was packed in the waiting area, had to wait for others to get up for their interview to find a seat.

Finally called for his interview and first he had to complete Part 2 of the DS-230. Then he was sword in and asked the following questions:

How long have I known my fiancee?<... read complete review

This review is as per my soon to be husband

His appointment was scheduled for July 1 @ 9am he arrived at the embassy at 7:45am. He paid a gentleman to hold his phone ($300J). The CO reviewed his forms and instructed him to join the line. They only asked for 4 pictures and the lady began to fuss because I typed SO details on the back of the picture -- he told me that "til now I didn't ask her".

After moving through various lines he was called by the interviewer, the CO was an American woman, possibly bi-racial (coolie as my SO mentioned). She reviewed our paper work, began typing and asked the following:

How did you and your fiance meet?

She type more details in and said you are approved! She only asked ONE question! She explained the process of paying DHL, the projected time frame and extended her congraduations.

SO paid DHL and was sent on his merry way -- he called me as soon as he got his phone back at 1:42pm... read complete review

I DIDN\'T SLEEP THE NIGHT BEFORE,I WAS SO FREAKING NERVOUS

My day started beautifully! My interview was at 7 :30am,i arrive at the Kingston Embassy at 6:52am gave my phone to a man to keep (paid $200 ja)he gave me a card with numbers on it,then i joined the immigrant line. The security called 5 persons at a time,i went thru security and was told to sit in the court yard ,about 5 -7 minutes later the security started to let us in row by row.I went in and my letter was taken and was told to take a seat on the right,i was given a number and told to listen for my number to be called.I made sure i went to ladies room before the numbers started to be called.

I was so nervous!!!... I started to talk with those around me( nothing about immigration). My number was called 30 minutes later, the young lady asked me:
1. Have you ever been to the state?
2. Are you related to anyone sitting in the embassy?
3.are you still living at this address???

Getting into the embassy felt like I was going to jail and the native people working security, etc. outside the embassy were pretty rude. However, its like the closer you get to the embassy immigration agents the more the atmosphere changes. The immigration agent I spoke with was pretty pleasant and the experience was not bad at all.
