Regarding K-1 experience at Jamaican embassy:
I could not attend the interview with my fiance but he spoke very highly about his experience. He also told me he noticed errors others made who did not have a great outcome --(not dressed in business attire, supporting documents in plastic bag --no supporting documents --or not well frontloaded application)

He showed up 2 hours early. Upon entry at the embassy was escorted to a separate room to wait. At first window they had documents from initial application which are reviewed prior to interview (he said they have decided prior to your arrival pretty much how things will go based on the documents contained in your application). He could see the body language of the two people working the first and second windows. After person at first window took required fingerprints and other documents he watched the person go up to second person--both people were smiling and nodding as they discussed the petition and then his name... read complete review

My fiance' stated that the interview was about 5 minutes long and he stood before a counter not in a private office. He was asked how we met, what are my children names, what kind of work I did for a living and where are the engagement rings. The CO remarked how organized my fiance' was but he still needed more proof such as WhatsApp conversations or Western Union receipts. The CO did not say we were approved or denied but stated everything looked good just send a little more proof and we should hear something soon as a few people were ahead of us. Submitted additional info via DHL along with passport the very next day and currently in administrative processing which we are told is normal after interviewing.

The day of the interview my fiancé and I arrived In Kingston and we parked the car in one of the lots across the street. The guy outside was charging 500JMD but we talked hm down to 300JMD lol. We walked down to the embassy, entered the line, and waited for security to check our documents confirming that our interview was for today. We then entered the first part of the building where you have to clear security and a metal detector. Everything went fine, but there are many restrictions to enter the building. They did not allow my lipgloss inside, my fiancé put it outside in the bushes (which is probably prohibited) it was there when we came out. They are very strict, no cell phones are allowed inside. Some local people are outside willing to hold your belongings for a fee. I had my 6 week old infant, we had no problems going through the metal detectors, but security did ask me to taste my baby’s milk from the bottle before allowing me to bring it inside. (I said no, And I ... read complete review

Husband’s interview was at 7:30am. He arrived at 7:15 and joined a lone outside the embassy. No phones allowed. Some guys on the street hold the phone for a small fee.
He waited for a while then was prescreened. He was asked for his docs..police record, marriage cert etc.
Waited again
When he was called up to the window he was asked:
Who is petitioning for him
What is my occupation
Where does he work
Has he every traveled to the US before
When was the last time he traveled
When was the last time he saw me
Who proposed
Who bought the rings
When did I (petitioner) first arrived in the US. (He only told the officer the year)
The officer then asked to see chats between us and photos.
She didn’t ask for any AOS or financial documents.

Then she said “ok this looks legit” refering to our photos. My advice is to take a variety of pics. It really helps to ... read complete review
