Ok, so I was unable to join my husband for his interview. He admitted he was extremely nervous, kept calling me and texting me prior to the interview. Anyway, he advised there were two individuals at the desk he was at for his interview. One asked questions, the other just supervised everything. Questions asked: How did we meet? How long have we been together? How many kids does your wife have? What are the ages? (he was almost right with the ages  )When was the last time we saw each other? Why has it been so long since your wife been to see you? Do we have any other photos together besides our wedding photos? (Of course, but he only took the wedding pics.  ) As if the binder full of documents including letters, postcards, wedding photos, cards, receipts of different sources wasn't enough. The hardest part of the process has to be the waiting... At times we felt like just screaming, but with much prayers and encouragement from family and friends we made it.
Looking back we would do this all over again cause we have learnt so much. We do not take each other for granted and we appreciate every moment together even more now. We will disagree but we know that our differences make us who we are and we are learning to grow in love daily.
What a blessing to love and be loved.

We got to the Embassy at about 6:30 there were about 15 people outside. We waited for the Embassy car park to open, then about 6:45 there were like 30 people outside, it was not too bad we walked up on the side on the right for those with 7am interviews that line went fast then 715 then 730.We were in right on time. Gaurd asked to see our paper. He asked who i was and then let us both in. Security checked through our bags,then we walked through the courtyard to the next door. A man was there behind a desk with another security agent giving a speech about what papers are needed to be signed, and to sign your police report then gave us a pink long slip and took the interview letter. The whole process took less than two hours. We gave the security guard our name and we were immediately allowed into the building. At the main entrance; we provided the reception with our interview letter and showed him a copy of the 4 passport side photos. We were told to go to the prescreening section (Section A) to wait until our name is called. This took about 20 -25 minutes. At this section David had to give the 4 photos and show the rep his passport. Then we move to section B. This is where the beneficiary is finger printed. This took may be 15 minutes. Then we move to section C. We were called up after about 20 minutes. We were asked to raised our right hands and swear that everything listed in the documents that had been provide to the US embassy was correct. From there the interviewer asks us how we met. She asked David how many time had he been to the US and when? She asked to see my passport. She already had David's passport. David passport had an additional US stamp... read complete review

We arrived at the embassy at 12:15pm. We were approached by the designated "cell phone" attendant who quickly advised us on what we could not take into the embassy and that we can leave this with her. We left our phones at home. We were then checked off the list at the front door and proceeded to the X-ray machine and metal detector.
We were directed to the doors that would allow us access to where the interview would take place. There was another family ahead of us and the security guard was too busy yapping away on his cell phone  . We were each given a pink slip of paper on which we wrote the Jamaican passport number (this would come in handy at Airpak later). The guard directed us to sit on the right side of the room we would enter. This would be Section A. We sat there for 45 minutes before we were called up by the rep at Window 7.
