My wife went for the interview on May 9th 2013 and her visa was approved. She had just a 15 minute interview with some standard questions

Who sponsored you?

When did you meet?

Where does he work and what does he do?

Can you show me some photos?

The person was very courteous and polite and also laughed and joked a lot.
Overall her experience was very good.

They asked her to submit her passport and said that her passport will be mailed to her with the stamp in a week.

Note: The beneficiary is an Iranian living in China.

The appointment was at 7 but CGI’s employees came at 7:30. They checked everyone’s passport, consulate interview letter and CGI appointment confirmation email, then put a barcode sticker on the back of every passport. The three items were checked again on the 3rd floor. 4th floor was security screening. Backpacks, briefcases, etc. weren’t allowed past security, but there were lockers on the 4th floor where applicants could store their belongings.

The IV interview area had a total of 14 windows – the first couple were for doc intake, the next couple were for fingerprinting, the rest were for interviews except the last one, #30, was for information.

My husband was handed a number when he entered the interview area. The first step was doc intake. A Chinese lady checked all his docs then asked for police clearance from Iran (not required). He told her to check the reciprocity sc... read complete review

We are under administrative process... Have no idea how long it will take, cause in the last 24 hours I have talked to 7 different people at the embassy, DOS,NVC,USCIS and each said a similar but different explanation in regards to why do we need additional administrative process. we are still playing the waiting game !!!!!!!

My interview was on Naples (Napoli) on June 26
I found Naples unbelievable warm and sultry!! so you should have so many thin clothes!!!

We booked Hotel Clarean; one of the cheapest and cleanest hotel in town that\'s in Garibaldi St. near the Napoli Centrale (Naples central train terminal).

At the first day we should went to Medical examination at 8:15 so we got a taxi (14 Euro)and reach there at 7:45. [you can go by train, station: soccova]
Although we reach there soon but I was 7th person in line!!!

I gave my passport to the receptionist lady and she said that I should sit down to yellow chair beside. after 20 min a nice lady called me and got my blood test. [sitting in yellow chair again] After 45 min an old man called me and checked my medical history and vaccination. (without any need to vaccination I paid 170 Euro)- Yellow Chairs!- After 10 min a 45 years old man called me (he was looks alike Goerge Clooney!!! :D) and he c... read complete review

We stayed at Caracciolo 10 Bed & Breakfast which is a good place and 10 minutes walk from the embassy.  Our taxi driver from the airport took us somewhere 30 minutes away from here and told us it's just a short walk around the corner.  Don't trust any taxi driver as most will try to take advantage of you and charge almost twice as much as they should.  The food is another issue, if you don't speak Italian you will have a tough time figuring out what to eat and most everything has some form of cheese and it is very expensive!!!

We had the medical exam the day before (Monday) and they said they will send the results directly to the embassy before our interview.  The exam consisted of taking her height/weight, blood pressure, blood test and a long wait for the x-ray.  The exam was done by a male doctor with a female assistant. They were considerate of personal privacy and space.  It didn't require taking your clothes off and the female assistant would help lif... read complete review
