Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Case: Spouse + Step Child.

Medical and Biometrics - completed in Chennai

Interview:
- Reached Mumbai a day before interview date and relaxed (tried!!) for the rest of the evening.

- Got up early (rather couldn't sleep) at 5 AM... was at embassy by 6:45 AM

- Was told to stand in Immigrant visa line.

- At entrance, they checked the NVC appointment letter and asked if we have the PCC

- Inside the embassy, one of the officers looked at the papers and told it in the order the NVC interview letter had listed.

- The interview by CO itself was very simple. Asked few basic questions about petitioner. CO asked why petitioner was got remarried so soon from the end of his last marriage (for personal reason I will withhold the answer). Then CO (smilingly) told my step son that it will be nice if knows about US sports such as baseball, basket ball and football. Apart from this every... read complete review

My wife's interview was on October 31. Everything went well except she got a 221g form saying I have to submit 2012 and 2013 w2 forms. We did that yesterday itself. Now waiting for the status to change to issued from AP. Hopefully we will get the visa next week as I was planning to book her ticket on Friday. Please god help us.......

So you all make sure to take recent years w2 forms to the interview. If you haven't submitted it at the NVC. I had submitted my 2012 and 2013 tax transcript from IRS but they still want the w2 forms too.

Today I had an interview CR1 at Mumbai, they asked very basic questions like
1. When and where did u married?
2. How did u met?
3. What type of marriage?
4. Recognize parents and in laws from album.

At the end they gave me 221(g) sheet for submit original i864a from my mother in law as my father in law filing taxes jointly. Either submit father in law (joint sponsor) W2 2013 forms through drop box with passport.

I don't disappointed as I know this is compleat lay my mistake I have submitted i864a xerox copie instead of original. By the way those documents are on the way from USA.

Current status is AP. They are very friendly. Easy going.

3.when is her birthday?
4.Where she works?
5.who else stay with her?
6.Where u will b staying after reaching in USA?
7.do u have ur marriage picture? then show album
8.some questions from the album like who is this in the pic etc:
9. did u read domestic violence pamphlet? if yes, what u understand??
and finalyy the Magic words 'you are approved'
my interview time was at 7.30 am and i was outside teh embassy at 8.40am.
