marriage between a US citizen and an indian citizen?
how to get marriage certificate?
Pre step; Book an interview for American citizen services in new delhi embassy for 1=2 days AFTER you visit marriage registrar where you got married and get a letter from them to submit to the embassy
1. step 1 : visit the marriage office. they will harass you and ask for a "NO OBJECTION certificate from embassy
2. print the affidavit FORM from US embassy website, go to the appointment to American citizen services and get it notarized after paying $50.00 DONT SIGN IT TILL YOUR MEET THE EMBASSY OFFICER
3. the marriage registrar in India are out to harass you and are hinting for bribes. don't pay anything and report to the consulate and any other agency in the US.
4. if you both parties are not hindu by religion you have to give 30 days notice and register under the special marriage act. plan this accordingly that ... read complete review

My interview was scheduled at 7.30 AM on 21st january 2015. I reached the embassy by around 6.30 AM but by that time there is a lot of people waiting there. By 7 AM, the security guards asked us to form two lines- one for immigrant and other for non immigrant visa. At that time I was 18th in the queue
At 7.15, they allowed the immigrant visa applicants first to enter into the embassy. They don't allow any digital items, even the medical CD is not allowed. The queue is separated into ladies and gents for security check and again they separated single applicants like me from group applicants. Believe it or not, I am now 3rd in the queue.
One of the consular assistants told us to keep the interview letter first and guided us to one counter where I got the token. Then they asked us to wait for our turn.
My token number displayed at another counter. The lady in that counter told me to give all the documents. She checked everything and told me that my wife's W2 form is... read complete review

i had an interview on 15th January 2015 9.30 in the morning.
as we went by car so we reached early so entered in the consulate at 8.30 in the morning. as we dont need to stand in queue.
main thing the whole staff is really very good so no need to worry about anything and they are eager to help you.
i entered in main building where two staff members in pink shirt asking me about my category and take my documents n arrange them n returned to me n told me to sit.
after some time they call me on window no 15 where one indian guy take my documents and stick token number on it n returned to me.
after that at 8.45 A.M my name announce on window number 7 where indian lady officer takes my documents and ask me
is this your n your wife's first marriage?
where do u intended to stay after reaching to us?
