Hi all F4's
I just had my interview on 13th march 2015. All went well and visa was approved.This is how it went.
Our time was 09:30 am . But we reported at 0800 and to our surprise we were escorted directly inside.
So advise everyone is to reach an hour earlier than time given.
After security check was done, an Indian lady escorted us to the immigration visa section. For visitor and student visa there is a different section.
We were made to sit and the lady asked each one of us( I, my wife &my son) to arrange documents in following order.
1. Interview letter
2. DS 260 conformation letter
3. PCC
4.Medical reports(Without CD)
5. Copy of Marriage certificate(Separate copies are needed for Husband & wife)
Then My wife who is principle beneficiary was asked to get the Token from the window.

So, I had my biometrics appointment on 17th march , 4 pm at bombay. It hardly took more than 5 minutes. But the waiting was so long, You need biometrics appointment letter, interview letter, ds260 confirmation copy , your original passport and 2 photos 2x2 size with white background. Just like you do at POE in usa, Place four fingers of each hand on scanner , one after another and then both the thumb together. Give your 2 passport size photos (2x2). also get your photo taken from canon dslr. lol. It is so hot there , when you are waiting in line , there is no shade outside.
Next day interview at 7:30 am, I knew about the prohibited things, so I had no coins or any digital items with me, did not take wallet inside but kept rupees notes in my pocket, I had 2 harmonium files along with a big wedding album. It was hard to carry everything but somehow I managed. The file structure was
1 . black harmonium file for all the documents except proof of relationship.

First Thanks you so much everyone here on this forum to give extensive knowledge about the process and experience and that's life saving work.
My appointment was on 13th March 7:30 AM. as usual immigration line was shorter the the other visa line but still i was surprised that it was approximately more than 50 people were there for that time slot.
they start to form line around 7:10 AM just when i reached there. I joined the line when 60% of people were ahead of me. then security let them in for security check. those people ahead of me sent to scanner 1 and scanner 2 started with me. I had no coins, mobile, or anything prohibited things so i quickly completed the check and I was 3rd in the line now after security check. then we sat on chair outside counseling hall. and after 5 minute they let us in and then I was the first in Line. My fiance's appointment was at 9:15 am, due to heavy traffic we arrived at 9:05 and he went directly inside without standing in any queues. As a petitioner I was not allowed to go inside (we knew this beforehand) so I found a nearby hotel and sat in their reception reading a book. He came outside at about 11:10 am.
Just a side note, I am not Indian and the CO did not ask any questions about that fact, he also did not ask if our families support our marriage (which they do btw)
Questions asked:
Who is calling you?
What is the name of your biological father?
What is the name of your step-father?
Do you live with your step-father?
Where does your fiancee live?
What does she do?
How did you meet?
When was the last time you saw her, is she here? (He said 5 minutes ago, she is waiting for me outside, the CO liked that and said "that's lovely)

First of all I want to thank my Jesus that he has answered my prayers and helped me in every step of my life.This was a very long journey which has end today.And I also thank all my VJ members for your support throughout this whole process.
My Interview was today at 9:00 AM and i reached there around 7:40 AM,security guard asked me to wait and around 8:45 i went inside,people over there were really helpful. As soon as i was inside one lady took my documents(medical,DS-260, VAC appointment, Birth certificate copy, Marriage certificate, 2 photographs) then she asked me to go to one of the counter they gave me a token and took my finger prints, than another counter where the other lady took all my documents and asked me questions like who is calling you, Marraige date,How long I have been married than she asked me to show my marraige date on my cerficate as she was not able to find it, I have shown her and than she asked me to wait till the US Consulate calls my token no and gave ... read complete review
