Guys,
I had my visa interview at mumbai on the 12th of March 2015. My interview as scheduled at 7:30 AM. I arrived at the embassy at around 6:30 AM and at 7 Am we were asked to lineup.
After going in and getting the Token. I had a first round of Interview with the Indian Consular officer, Who gave back all the orginals submited to NVC and asked me who is petitioning me? and our marriage Date.
She then told me to wait. After 15 mins I was called to the next counter to be interviewed with the American Officer.
He was very nice.
Just asked me the following questions
- Where does my stay ?
- Whats your Wife's Name?
-Date of Marriage ?
Then he said this " You are approved" Go N Make your wife Happy. Your Visa can be collected in 3 - 5 Business Days. "
I was stuck for a moment . Tears of Happiness Filled my eyes.

Immigrant Visa approved on May 7 2015 after long waited 11 years.

Me, my mom, dad and sister had interview on May 7 2015 at 9:30am. We reached Mumbai Consulate at 7am. There were already lot of people standing, sitting outside the consulate entry point.
We finally managed to enter at 8:10am. We'd been asked to passed through security checkup area as soon entered the consulate. After security check, we entered into huge open space. There were lots of people sitting on chair. The area was like open garden type with nicely arranged sitting. There were line for Immigrant visa and temporary visa separated.
Then we entered into next building inside consulate, there were already Staff wearing Pink shirts they asked to sort the documents. Then at the first window we collect token. After display token w went to interview.

My Interview was on 18th March. Sorry for the late review posting, but I received my passport with Visa today only because I was in AP after interview.
My appointment for Interview was of 8.30 at Mumbai Consulate,India. We reached there by 6.45 am itself.There were queues for immigrant and visitor visa. I was allowed to enter in consulate at 8.00 am. Attendant at entrance checked my passport and interview letter and asked me about fingerprint and medical,Is it cleared? I said yes. And I was In.
Then, i was directed to go in section where only immigrant's interview was arranged. There were total 17 Counters/windows in that area. As soon as I entered, I was asked to follow the direction for Counter 1 where token numbers were issued. A lady asked for passport and interview letter. I gave it. She stamped bar code of token number on interview letter and asked me about language preference. I am Gujarati but my preference for interview was English,so I said so to her. My wife's visa was approved on 3/26/105. Thank you Visa Journey for all the help.
Interview on 3/26/15. Both my wife and I (the petitioner) were allowed to attend the interview. After clearing security, we were seated in the interview area. After about 30 minutes, an Indian officer took our interview. Asked my wife for her original police certificate, original and photocopies of marriage certificate and birth certificate, and medical report. I offered my 2014 tax returns showing we filed as married filing jointly. The officer took some time to enter information into her system, and then asked us to wait. After another 30 minutes or so, an American officer interviewed us. Questions:
1. take the oath
2. Was this your love marriage or arranged?
3. When did we first meet?
4. Was I the first suitor my wife met?
5. Was my wife the first proposal I met?
6. What is the reason for expedite?

The people were nice but would not take all documentation causing me a headache in regards to Affidavit of Support.
