I had my interview on the 29th of this month. My day started with a consulate employee ripping my birth certificate. Luckily for me it was just the top border that tore and not the actual text on the certificate.
I was scheduled for the 830am slot and had to wait until 1215 for my interview. It lasted less than 3 minutes. Questions asked :
1> How do you know her?
2> Why are you getting married in the US and moving there?
3> How long were you in the UK?

The lady interviewing me didn't ask for any additional proof. She went through an album that was submitted with the I-129F and saw the entire album (it was a very thin album- 20, 25 pictures). I was carrying a file with me, nothing too huge, but had all the documents various members on this website suggest along with new Letters of Intent and proof of the most recent trips etc.

3 minutes in she said "congratulations, your visa has been approved. Enjoy America" and that was that... read complete review

scheduled interview for march 20, 10am, reached there at 8 30. waited for a long time.
1. biometrics taken at window
2. submitted documents in a different window.
3. paid the fee at a third window.
4. interview at fourth window. there are only 2 windows for permanent visas.
interviewer went through the files. asked a couple of questions. then typed something in her computer for 5 minutes. just when I thought it was over she asked a bunch of other questions about how we met. how we got married. did her family attend. etc. but in the end she said your case is approved and collect visa in a weeks time.

hi all,
i am happy to share my interview experience. On 16th september i had my biometrics. i scheduled at 10am but i was out of the trade centre (building where they had the fingerprints taken) by 10am. they send you in early. not a problem if you arrive an hour early. on 18th was the actual interview. mine was scheduled at 9am, by 8.30am the security guards told to form a line. i entered the building for the security check by 9am. after checking when i went to the next area, i told the lady that i am a k1 beneficiary, she told me to go straight to the next area where they collect the documents and give the token number.in less than an hour i was called for the interview.
following questions were asked
1. how did you meet?
2. how long did you guys spent time together?
3. did your parents agree since you met her through a social networking site?
4. what preparations have you made for the wedding?
after 5-10 minutes of interview the of... read complete review

Fast and quick they spent 10 minutes with her.
Asked only 4 questions

1. How did you meet your fiance?
2. What is your education background?
3. What are you planning for your wedding?
4. Why are you planning such a small ceremony?

In short just be confident and be prepared!

The experience at the consulate was great, the counselor was very professional and I felt at comfort throughout my interview.

I had reached the consulate early morning since it was a K-1 visa application I was not required to wait in the queue and allowed inside. I initially had to submit the documents at the first counter than after a wait for an hour or so I had my interview. The only small hiccup I had was that I did not have my original birth certificate.

The counselor informed me at the end of the interview that I cleared the interview and I just need to submit my birth certificate and the visa will be issued in a weeks time.

A great experience overall
