After 11months of waiting today was my interview date. I was very much nervous rather than excited. Got up at 4am in the morning and started getting prepared for the interview. My appointment time was at 7.30am at the Mumbai Consulate. When I reached there with my mother at 6:30am already saw alot of people waiting on the opposite side of the road. I asked the guard and he told me to wait there and will let us enter at 7am. At 7am there were two lines one for 7:30am interview and another for 8:00am interview.
Went inside there was security check and after that we all stood in the line. Then we were given a token. Then two girls were checking with the documents. One of them came to me and asked for my passport,PCC,Birth Certificate,Marriage Certificate,Stamped DS260,2 passport size photos (original and xerox). Told me to keep them out. Then i was called at Window Number 9,where there was an Indian man. He said
Indian man: Goodmorning
Indian man: W... read complete review

Had my interview at the US consulate in Mumbai on the 25th of July 2016 at 7.30 am. Overall it was a pleasant experience. Everything is very organized and systematic.
So on the day of the interview I arrived at 7 am and saw there was a long line for non immigrant applicant. for immigrants, please do not bother standing there, you just have to walk-in and tell the guard you are an immigrant applicant and he will ask you to show the interview letter and the DS-260 form. Show him that and get in. Then what follows is security and you aren't allowed to take any electronic devices inside.(PS. Do not take the CD to the interview given to you during the medical exam).
After the security ,we had to walk towards another second building where the interview was held. At this time I waited for my turn where I got a token ,and an Indian lady checked my original docs along with the copies and told me to have a seat till I'm called for the interview. Waited for about 45 mins till my tok... read complete review

My wife went to the interview (at 730am) by herself. The interview only took about 5 minutes. They just asked about my profession. Not much else. She was done by 9:15am.

Hey guys, I had my visa interview today at Mumbai US consulate. I was lined up in to be 5th person and got the token first and i opted for English language..The first Indian lady asked me few question like...
My mom's and dad's maiden name,my petitioner name, when she came to India and such few more basic questions.
Then started my waiting game being the first person to collect the token i was only called after two and half or almost 3 hours...A american you man interviewed me, he was really cool. my wife was with me too. he asked casual questions like how we meet, love or arrange marriage, does your wife knows to cook, and which is the favorite food she cooks :P he was very friendly and then approved our case.
People who choose Regional language, especially southern language are given preference... English ones the last ones.
Thanks for all the advice and sharing of all your experience helped me know what to expect there..... read complete review
