Review Topic: K1 Visa

Fiancee did not have the best experience. Two present officers asked benign and straightforward questions, but a lead officer played the role as a bad cop to try to upset and throw her off. At the end of the 3 hour interview, fiancée was professionally thanked for her patience, knowing they pressed into her, yet she needn't worry when her tourist visa is revoked, because she would get the K visa. All they needed left was a couple items of info to complete the file and all would be well. That was encouraging at the end, but poor fiancée was unprepared for the treatment she was given and it took some time for her to be able to get over it.

We turned in the requested docs and her passport. Passport returned: Administrative Processing.

4) I volunteered to give her bank statements for 6 months.
5) My birth certificate , original and copy; original was returned after.
6) Passport.

All seemed in order and I was asked to wait.

About 30 minutes later, I was called again, this time to be interviewed by an American Consul officer. He was very polite. Took my oath and interview b... read complete review

My experience was positive. Smooth processing, helpful staff, and orderly queues. Infact, reading interview experiences on this website helped me prepare tremendously, I would encourage you all to check it out.
