The interview at Mumbai consulate is very smooth and friendly. For 07:30 AM appointment, they form a line outside the consulate at 06:30 AM. If you can afford it, better stay in hotel Sofitel which is down the same street. You can reach the consulate gate by walking two minutes from the hotel. Around 07:00 AM I was allowed inside the building and given a token number. In a few minutes the token number was called. An Indian officer collected the passport, verified all the documents which were previously sent to NVC, asked for copies of marriage and birth certificates even though two copies each were mailed to NVC in advance. The original certificates were returned by the Indian officer. The officer asked a few basic questions like spouse's name etc. Then I was asked to wait for the interview with the consular officer. Waited for about 3 hours and my number was called at around 10:45 AM. The consular officer was very friendly, asked me to raise my hand and take the oath. The ... read complete review

Yes!!!!
My Husband's appointment was 8:30am, so he stayed at hotel few miles away.
When he got in, he was asked to pay courier fee.
Then he got token number.
First lady called his number, and asked for necessary paperwork, date we were married (he gave official court date, and date of traditional saat phere), took his fingerprints, and was asked to wait.
About 20 minutes later, another lady called his number.
She asked few questions
Was this arranged marriage?
How long did you know Wife before marriage?
How long did Wife stay with you after marriage?
How long has Wife been in USA?
Then lady asked Husband to raise Right hand and pledge his alligance to the United States.
She told him congratulations, you will get Visa in a few days.
My Husband was very fortunate to get friendly people to question him.... read complete review

After talking to my fiance, this is what he told me. After waiting for 3 hours, the CO told him they will not interview him until they get his medical report results from the text he had after his xray. The medical facility that he had his medical done said that the consulate will get his results in 45 days, even though on the website at the medical facility claims he is fine. So if your xrays come up cloudy and they do 3 days worth of test, so your time and money and reschedule your interview.
