K1 Visa Interview
Consulate: New Delhi, India
Me and my fiancee were at the NWD last month for our K1 interview, which went very smooth! We were really very nervous and anxious at the same time as we had been looking forward to this day since so long. My fiancee had flown in from the US for the interview and we were not even clear if she would be allowed to stay with me during the interview.
Let me describe my experience in detail for you guys:
First we were made to wait outside the embassy and people were called inside according to their interview time i.e 7:30, 8:00 etc
We had reached the Embassy early (by 7:30 AM).
As we were scheduled for 8:30AM batch, we were admitted into the embassy around 8:45am. The guards at the entry took our mobile phones and stored them in a locker and gave us a token for that. After entering we were made to sit down again and wait in the lobby.

Got approved. Here are the questions I was asked by the Indian interviewer (1st interview):
Who has petitioned for you?
Is this your first marriage?
Is this your husband’s first marriage?
Where is your husband right now?
When did he come to India?
Do you have any kid from your first marriage?
Any kid from your husband’s first marriage?
Where does the kid live?
Have you registered with for the visa delivery?
Finger printing was done at the first window & all originals sent to NVC were returned.
I waited for a couple of hours for the final interview with an American lady. The questions asked were as follows:
Who is calling you?
How did you both meet? When was it (asked for the date)
When did your husband get divorced?
When did you get divorced?
Asked for the reason why the marriage date is near to divorce date?
Do you have any kid?

during the interview i was given a 221g white slip asking for special marriage certificate

My Fiance had his interview at 8:30 AM in New Delhi. He was first called to a counter to collect his documents, they initially asked for ds-156 but he told them there is a new process and only ds-160 is required - they said okay thank you (you would think they knew their own system). Then he was called for an interview. The woman asked him to raise his right hand and swear that he was telling the truth. Then she asked two questions:
How did you meet?
Is your family okay with the wedding?
Then he said okay, your visa has been issued you will receive it in a week or so.
That was it!
