It was a straight forward process. She had her interview at 8:30 AM. She got in line around 8:00. After security check, the Indian officer arranged her documents and gave back the originals sent to NVC. Then asked her questions like who is calling you, what is your mothers maiden name and then gave her the domestic violence paper and told her to go thru it, as she maybe asked questions on it.
Then she waited and the male American officer took her short interview. She was hardly there for 3 to 4 mins. First the oath and then fingerprinting again. Then 4 questions,
Who is calling you ?
Is it love or arranged marriage?
When did he last meet you ?
What is his home address?
And then said Congratulations, your visa is approved. Also told her to pay the 165 $ fees before she leaves India. javascript:emoticon(' ')

My wife got there around 7:45 AM. By the time lines were formed but those were for applicants having appointments before 8:00. Her appointment was at 8:30.
By 8:10 she was asked to enter the line. And in another 15 mins or so, she got in. First they did the scanning and send her through a metal detector. Then she was asked to wait at an area like a lounge. It looked like they were trying send immigrant visa applicants as batches of 3-4. After waiting for another 10 mins she received the token and was asked to hold all the documents ready. Again a short wait for the number to be called.
Shortly her number was displayed on the screen and at the counter they asked for the preferred language. Then asked for the different documents and for the originals. She informed the officer that the originals were submitted at NVC and hence provided the copies.
At this counter, the indian officer asked the below questions

My husband had his interview for 8.30 am. He got there by 8.00am. The security let him in after showing him the interview letter and passport. He then had to go through security checks and was directed to a counter. An indian officer asked him for his medical. He was given a paper that explained about domestic violence and also the rights of immigrants in the U.S He was then given a token number and was told to wait for the interview.
The American officer asked him if he read the paper that was given to him earlier and if he understood it. After that he told to take the oath and the American Officer asked him the following questions.
Who is calling you?
What is your spouse full name?
How long have you been married?
Where does your spouse work and as what?
Who filed your spouse to got to the U.S?
Was it an arranged or love marriage?
Can you show me your wedding pictures?

Her interview was at 8:30. She showed up at 8:00am and attendant let her in. She went through security and xray.
She went to a window and got a token number. She showed her the interview letter. Next she waited 20 minutes for
her number to show up. Then she went to the window and was asked :

Copy of birth certificate
copy of marriage certificate
medical report

1. Who is calling you?
2. What is his full name?

4. What is your fathers full name?

My wife interview was at noon. She got to the embassy at 8 a.m. thinking they will let her in. They let her in 15 minutes prior to her interview time. They interviewed immigrant visa after all other visa category. She was there for 4 hours. She was called by an Indian officer and she returned all of her original documents. She was handed domestic violence instructions. They asked if she understands it. Then they asked her if you have an emergency which number would you call?
Indian Officer: Who is petitioning you?
Indian Officer: Do you have 2013 tax returns with you?
Wife: No deadline is April 15 to file, my husband didn't file yet, I do have the paystubs if you need them. Officer said no it's ok I don't need paystubs.
She was asked to take a seat. Then finally she was called by an American Officer. Do you want to be interviewed in English, Hindi, or Punjabi?
