Wife was there for a couple of hours and overall it was not too bad.

First Indian lady asked for passport, DS-260 confirmation and interview later. Asked some basic questions but can't remember the specifics. Gave domestic abuse violence pamphlet and asked her to read it.

Next the American officer asked basic questions:
1. How did you meet? Love/arranged?
2. When did you get married?
3. How many guests at the wedding?
4. Where does he work?
5. Where do you work/what do you do?
6. How did he get his citizenship?

Asked if she understood the domestic violence pamphlet and what to do in that situation. Then said you are approved, pay the fee before you go to US, and pick up your passport in a week.

Two applicants ahead of her were denied.

I did frontload the I-130 and NVC docs with additional proof of marriage/relationship, so I think that probably helped in reducing the... read complete review

Here is the interview breakdown:

We got there at around 7:20am for an 8:30am appointment. They let her stand in line at 7:40ish and once she got in it was like a 2-3 min wait. Then she got to the first desk, and was asked...

1. What is your maidan name.
2. What is your mother's maiden name.
3. What is your birthdate.
4. Who is calling you.
5. How long has your spouse been in America.
6. When was the last time you met your husband.

Then after about 30 mins she was called up for the main interview. She met with a female agent and was asked the following:

1. What does your husband do for a living.
2. How did your husband become a US citizen.
3. How did you meet your husband? arranged or love.
4. Show me pictures of your wedding ceremony.
5. Did you understand the content of the domestic abuse booklet?

Then she was told to pay the Immigrant fee a... read complete review

My wife had interview at Mumbai consulate on June 12 @ 7:30. She got in there at 7:15. Did the documents verification.
Indian officer asked her following:
1. Who is calling you?
2. Which state he lives in?

She was given back the all the original docs from NVC, domestic violence phamplet and gave her token and told her to wait for your number to be flash. Around 8:55 am American CO called her to the window. It was all round 5 min or less of interview. She asked her follwoing:

1. Who is the sponser for you?
2. Which states he lives in?
3. What does he do?
4. When you guys were married?
5. Did you read the paper we gave? Did you understand it?

Finally, the magic words came out. "Congratulations, you are Approved".
Over all the process was straigh forward, and it was smooth experience.
