Our experience,
Me and my Fiance were present for her K1 Visa Interview. The Embassy is located in a beautiful area in the heart of Budapest and we arrived 2 hours early which was a mistake because there was really not a lot of people waiting for their interview. Outside the front of the embassy is gated off with guards who tell you if you can enter or not and since we had two hours to blow we just walked around town and even got a small bite to eat. So I would recommend that you get there early but no TOO early or else you just drive yourself crazy waiting around.
Next, one of the guards did let us in early so be sure to ask them which was very helpful for us because as we were waiting for our interview a lot of Hungarian students trying to get student visas came and they filled the entire waiting room.
When we first walked in our number was quickly called up and we handed over the documents. Since I, her Fiance was present they asked f... read complete review

Embassy staff had been wonderful to deal with for over 1 year. Still is, but the Consul was extremely tough on my wife at the interview. 2 hours of pounding on her cancelled tourist visa. But, with nothing to hide she was approved.

It was nice and friendly. No issues. Just waiting your turn. The only advice I would have is that when you enter and get your number press "immigration visa". They do not consider a K-1 "non immigration" They only asked a few questions like, where we met, how many times together. Asked for no evidence of relationship, no phone, no chats, no pictures.

So far, they Embassy has been OUTSTANDING. They knew that once USCIS approved the case, it would be sent to them. So they let Dora get her medical, police report and all documents sent in. Once the case arrived they called her and gave her the earliest interview date possible.
Judit in the visa unit and Dori in the ACS unit have been beyond professional. I even wrote a letter to the Ambassador praising their devotion and professionalism.
But, the interview and results are all that matters. We will see on 3/7.
