They let him in at 7:30 but I had to wait to come in at 8:30 am. It was so unuasly hot there this time around and some friends did mention that it was the hottest season. I was not overly nervous because we had to determined to leave it in God's hands. But i waited in line with me and the guard at door let me in and the one inside had yelled at him and told him that I was the fiance so why let me in then he chastised my husband because he had told my husband I could not come earlier. I felt bad that I put my husband on the spot like that. but there was no separation of us when 8:30 came around. I got to sit with him and everything. I did have to sign in my name and the reason I was there. I put "accompanying husband for k3 interview". They called my husband to window 4 times I believe. Once to take paperwork and Once was to tell him his passport pics were not acceptable, then finger printed then interview. They told us to go to a specific place for new passport pics. I will ask my husb... read complete review

My fiance had his interview this morning. He got to the consulate at 7am, was given a number and was not called until 10am. He was asked for the DS 156K and his passport photos only, he paid the visa fee and had his fingerprints taken. Then he was told to sit until the CO called him over.

The CO called him over about 30 min later. He was asked questions like how we met, he was asked to talk about me, he asked about my parents and what they do and about my sisters. Then he asked for the I-134 and my tax returns from 2007. The CO glanced over my letter of employment but did not ask to keep it. He did not ask for my bank statements. Then he asked for our proof of relationship stuff. The CO said we had "overwhelming proof" but wanted to see pictures form 2006 (we only had some from my trip in 2007)and snail mail. He said that phone records do not prove that we talked (despite the fact that both our numbers are shown on the records).

My fiance, Lucky, went to the consolute yesterday, thursday, 2/21/08, to pick up the packets 3 and 4...

He is a Nigerian citizen but the ghanaians who worked at the embassy, security included, were very warm and pleasant, according to Lucky. They were all smiles, very well-wishing... did not encounter any negativity.... was a very pleasant experience!!!

HI EVERYONE, JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT MY HUSBAND WENT ON HIS INTERVIEW ON THE 13 OF DEC,THEY DID NOT GIVE HIM HIS VISA BUT INSTEAD PUT IT PENDING. THEY SAY ITS NOW THE LAW THAT ANY COUPLE WITH A CHILD MUST HAVE A DNA TEST TO PROVE THAT THE CHILD IS PATERNAL HIS AND MATERNAL HERS. THEY SAY TO MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN USING OTHERS CHILD(REN) AS THEIR OWN TO BRING SOMEONE OVER. THE SAD THING IS THAT I HAVE DOCUMENTATION FROM THE PLACE OF BIRTH THAT I AM THE MOTHER AND THEY WON'T ACCEPT THAT AS PROOF OF MATERNAL STATUS. SO I ADVISE ANYONE WITH A CHILD WITH HIS OR HER SPOUSE OR FIANCEE TO GET A TEST THROUGH WWW.AABB.ORG. ITS VERY EXSPENSIVE BUT IF YOU CAN GET IT EARLY YOU WON'T DELAY YOUR VISA. OUR CASE HAS BEEN DELAYED FOR 3 MONTHS TO DETERMINE THE PARENTAL STATUS OF OUR CHILD.

nana had a great interview that went very smoothly with no problems at all. he got there early, submitted all forms (affadavit of support, tax returns, etc.) first. he then waited for 30 minutes, after which he was called in for the interview. the interviewer asked him questions like:

what grade does your wife teach? (i'm a teacher)

where did you guys meet?

describe your love story.

afterwards, the interviewer informed nana that there have been many cases of fraud, but that he could tell that our love was real....finally, the last words he said to nana were: "i hope you enjoy brooklyn!!!!"

HE IS ON HIS WAY TO BROOKLYN, NEW YORK!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!

LOVE IS BEAUTIFUL! i cannot wait to finally share my life with my husband...
