My husband and I were so excited and we really worked hard on making sure we had everything required for his interview on 10/30. We were sure that everything would go well and he would be home the first week in November.
Things went very well at the interview and my husband said the woman that interviewed him was very kind and seemed very satisfied with all of our paperwork, etc. Much to our disappointment, we found out that we had to have a DNA test completed in order to prove that he is really the biological father of my stepson. So........our new interview date is February 2. The DNA test is very expensive so I can understand why they wait to make sure you pass the rest of the interview before they send you for it but we were heartbroken that we would have to wait even longer to be together.
I wish that we could do something to make the immigration process easier for people. We filed the K3/K4 VISA because it was supposed to be faster but I think... read complete review

Somehow my husband got an early interview date. I didn't have enough time to schedule off for work to be there. (Go with your SO if at all possible). He was questioned extensively on my finances and why I wasn't working in my field of expertise since I went to college; which was uncalled for since I make more than enough for a family of 5. He denied my husband's visa due to "not enough evidence" (we had over 100 pages of chat, email, text messages, phone records and bills, and pictures). I'd also provided information what NVC said they should've ask for (my most current tax information).
I believe he was denied due to the fact he hadn't had time to finish his medical shots. Our next interview is in February, and I intend on being there next time
Needing to read chat, emails, and letters is an invasion of privacy and should not be a form of "evidence", we are not guilty until proven innocent!

The interview process was very smooth. They ask personal questions to make sure you have a real marriage. I also have two children. They ask my wife who was the at the interview questions like, how we met, what kind of work I do in US, where we met, how we met, how I propose to marry her, the last time I was in Ghana. My wife answered all questions and was told she was approved, but her police certificate was expired after six months, so they requested a new one. Everything went on smoothly, no DNA requested for children, that was a surprise, because I was expecting it.

I went with my fiance for his interview in Ghana. When my fiance was called for his main interview I went with him to the consulate and after she asked who I was and why I was there she decided to do a as soon as she saw me she asked who I was and why I was here SPLIT INTERVIEW.
She interviewed my fiance and I seperately, my fiance was first then me. Afterwards she calls the both of us to her window, and this is how it went down
CONSULATE: Although you two know each other very well, and have too much evidence, I AM STILL NOT CONVINCED THAT THIS IS A GENUINE RELATIONSHIP.
I (USC FIANCEE): asked her why she felt that way?
CONSULATE: You and your fiance were dating while still married, which is suspicious to me, you have too much evidence as if you are trying so hard to prove something or cover up something, the fact that I was present for the interview is too much, why do I need to be here if I have all this evidence.
I (USC FIANCEE... read complete review
