Interview for IR2 visa was successful..
saw very few reviews here before my interview so i’m putting this here to help anyone who is going through the IR2 process
arrived at the embassy at 6 o’clock for a 7:30 interview , at about 7:15 we were called to form a queue and entered in pairs of 5 ,
NB : You’ll go through security checks before entering the embassy
got inside and sat down for about 3 hours 30 minutes and was called by a Ghanaian lady to submit my Documents , she was nice to me and took my birth certificates, police reports , medicals, passport with two american size passport pictures
and asked me if i had any extra evidence with my Mum so i submitted some pictures, letters she sent me when i was in High school and my baptismal card ,
i was asked to go and sit down and be called , about an hours later , i was called by an American Lady and the interview begun
-Who petitioned for you?
-how old are you... read complete review

I'm a Nigerian living in Ghana I was interviewed in Accra Ghana yesterday the co told me everything was fine but she need to verify my Nigeria police report from us embassy in lagos. My question is. Is there any form of police report in Nigeria cuz I did mine in a police station in my hometown the co was comparing it to Ghana police report theirs is from the CID headquarters and Nigeria you can just walk in to a police station and its done.

so basically they couldn't give me my visa because I needed a waiver. which I knew I did. I told my lawyer that and paid 5k usd so he could do my waiver but did absolutely nothing.
the consulate was extremely rude. it was a very heart breaking experience. I'm glad my husband and I were able to stay strong and keep pushing. he basically said I was lying when I didn't know certain information. I was 12 years old when I moved to the US a lot that went on with my immigration process back then wasn't communicated to me so there were certain things I had no idea about.
anyway on Aug. 24th 2018 we submitted the I-601 waiver, and we are still waiting...
