I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment, stood in the security line in the sun with a dozen people, I was last in line (I am assuming that EVERYONE is asked to show up at 1pm), picked up a ticket once inside, and waited for half an hour to be called at the first counter to show my invitation letter.
After 1 hour, I was called to the following booth, where I was asked for all the documents. The lady remembered that my husband kept calling her on the phone with questions about the procedure... About 1 hour later again, I was finally called by the consul who mentioned she had read ALL our email correspondence, etc... which was kind of embarrassing, but she was nice at all times, and tried to mention her personal travel experience/work experience abroad, as she had read where we had both planned to go travel.
She then said she'd put it a word for the immigration officer at the POE, which got me to think at that point that it was approved.

My interview had been scheduled for 1pm. The letter said I should arrive at 12.55 but I arrived earlier and I got in fine. Know that you cannot access the Embassy walking on Avenue Gabriel if you're coming from Place de la Concorde; the police will ask you to cross the road and then cross it again, I guess they just want to film you as you approach the building.
No laptops allowed in!
Once in, there are American security guards and they'll check your bag and take mobile, lipstick or lip balm, chewing gum, cigarettes and lighters from you to pick up later. Also drinks and food are not allowed in so eat before hand; you can buy drinks inside as well as snacks.
Once in, walk up those few steps and get your number from the machine by selecting your option (type of visa, appointment, etc.).

I arrived at 12:40 and they let me in. There was a few people in already and 2 other cases of fiancé visas before me. I waited about 15 min to be called to the 1st window where they ask only for the interview letter and the ticket you take in the waiting room.
After that I waited around 45 min to be called to the 2nd window. Here they ask for all the forms and papers (birth certif, police certif....). The lady here was pretty friendly and made a comment that I had all the papers very well ordered and ready. She asked if I or my fiancée were married before and if we had kids to determine if she would take our co-sponsor I-134 form and documents. She also asked if our families approved of the relationship and if we made plan yet for my trip there and the wedding ceremony. In the end she took it because my fiancée is currently a student.
About 1 hour later I was called to the 3rd and last window with the consul lady. She only asked 4 questions :

I was worry before the interview because of a previous overstay so I maybe over prepared and load my documents!
I arrived at 12:45 and left at 2:35 pm the two first booth was easy to go through : I only needed to give them my forms, official documents and financial informations, I answered some quick questions like “ what type of job do you do” “When do you plan on going to the US?” She took my fingers prints then told me “ it’s your lucky day I am going to do your visa right now !” I didn’t understand what she meant by that because she also said that I was gonna be call one more time… The third and last call was my interview: the woman wasn’t friendly but she was polite. She asked me “when did you met him” “when was the last time I saw my fiancé” “ when do I plan on getting married and if my family was coming to the wedding” she took more fingers prints then she said that If everything went ok I will receive my visa within 10 days… Overall... read complete review

This is second hand information. My fiance arrived at the Paris Embassy at 1pm. He waited maybe 20 minutes before being called to a window. He said it was very stressful because there are 20 windows in the room and various numbers are being called all the time by an electronic board. He said it went very quickly...no time to read a book or anything. He was called to a window and he gave all the financial documents. No one requested any proof or evidence of the relationship.
When he was called for the interview, he talked to a very stern and serious older lady - he described her as 'judge-like'. No real questions about our lives except 'how did you meet?'...'how much quality time have you spent with her kids?'.
Then she interrogated him pretty intensely about my two previous divorces and 2 children. She made it very clear to him this is a serious matter in a new married life and that our lives will not be easy at all. He said she was very authoritative in her discussions w... read complete review
