Hi everybody,
before reading my review, know that I have my journey described on my blog as well as my medical exam and the interview in both French and English available on my blog, here: http://franceminnesota.wordpress.com/

Now, here's the interview review I wrote. Enjoy!

The big day has arrived, I had a terrible night of sleep imagining all kinds of scenarios each one more horrible than the next. I woke up around 8:00am because of the stress, I was able to go back to sleep a while after until 10:00am; my appointment was at 1:00pm.

I have time to quickly look at my emails, my fiancé wrote to me, he wants me to call him even though it is the middle of the night for him. I call him, we talk for a few minutes, we cannot realize that it is happening today, the moment we have been waitin for, for so long. I have to get ready. I try to eat breakfast as I... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

We arrived at 12.40 and went through security. I had no electric items, though they did take my car keys away. The children's colouring books and comics were safe
We arrived up the ramp and a kind smiling lady gave us our ticket: A105. We were then invited to go and wait.
To my surprise, the waiting area looks more like a post office lobby than what I had imagined: tens of windows with staff and a machine ringing to sound out the ticket numbers (by the way, the bell sound which the machine makes gets really annoying after a while, as it keeps on ringing and you become paranoid that you've just missed your number!).
We waited for half an hour to be seen by a lady who checked our appointment letter and told us to go and sit back, that we would be called 'shortly'. The short time dragged to 2 long hours, when a nice lady (with a Spanish-American accent) checked our documents. I started to get a little worried as our applications were a little compl... read complete review

I arrived a little early (my appointment was at 1pm) so i waited until 1245 to cross. I had no convocation letter since the IV unit called me the day before for the interview because someone cancelled. The guard had to check with someone inside to make sure i really had an appointment so I actually didn't get in before 1:10pm and had all the other K1 applicant passing me.

Once i was in i was given a ticket, my number was A114, I didn't think it was really crowded inside for this time of the year.
I was called after 20/30 min at a first booth and handed my passport. Another 20/30 minutes or so later i got called to the exact same booth with the exact same lady who this time asked and checked all the documents: birth certificate, police report,etc...At the same time she was explaining to me that i had to marry my fiance within 90 days the AOS etc... We were also chatting about everything and nothing at the same time (she was making fun of me because i had a cold). H... read complete review

I arrived in front of the embassy at 12h50 (appointment at 13h). The guard at the entrance asked for my appointment letter, passport and briefly checked my handbag then let me go ahead. The first door leads you to the security check where they take away any electronic devices (in my case my phone) and give you a yellow tag to get everything back when you exit the embassy. After the checking is done you can now enter the embassy itself. The lady at the front desk checked my letter, handed me a ticket and told me to go to the waiting room and wait for my ticket number to show up on one of the boards on the wall.

After about 30 min, i got called to a window, the lady there requested my appointment letter and my ticket number then invited me to go back and take a seat while waiting to get called again.
After another 30 min, she called me back and this time requested all the forms, medical results and documents that I was supposed to bring for the interview. (For the a... read complete review
