Things went very smoothly from the moment we entered the waiting room: about 20 minutes waiting time for my passport to be taken, then another 20 minutes until we were called again, and almost one hour to check all necessary papers, and finally 5 minutes for additional questions and approval!
We dealt with very kind and friendly professionals.

I arrived the consulate 12:30 for my appointement scheduled at 1:00 pm and I was luckily done after 2 hours !!! It started by a carefull security check, then I took my ticket and waited patiently to be called a first time to give my convocation, waited briefly to be call a second time to give all the documents required and got my finger prints taken . Then once this was completed they told me to wait again to be called again by the consul. After a 15 min wait they called me, the interview lasted 5 minutes she told me the interview went well "congratulation" your visa is approved and you will receive it from 7 to 10 days. And it was done!!!
PS:all the staff was really nice and friendly.

People were really friendly and efficient !
It tools me about an hour and a half to get through the whole thing.
Good experience overall, just extremely happy to get out of there with the good news to tell to my wife !

Hi everybody, I had my interview yesterday and wanted to share the love.
For some reason I didn’t double check my interview time and I was convinced that the interview was at 2. I arrived at the embassy at 1:30. The guard at the entrance told me that all K1 interviews were scheduled at 1. I can’t believe I didn’t double check! I thought my heart was stopping.
I rushed through security and got a ticket as fast as I could. I got A 110: I was the last in line. In itself it is no real worry, and I do not think that being late to the interview really should be very much of a concern, but in my case it added quite a bit of stress to my experience.
So I went to sit down with everybody else, started to read. After a short while A100 was called (A means that the file is being reviewed by the immigration services). I thought that it was a good sing, things moving and everything. And so I took a book and tried to wait patiently.

My fiancé tells me that it was a very quick and easy interview. The lady that interviewed him was really nice and friendly, and asked basically, "tell me about the two of you - how did you meet, what does she do, etc." He was nervous because he overstayed his J1 Visa when he was in the US. She asked when his Visa expired, and when he left the country. He was honest with her, but was surprised that she never even asked why he overstayed it. They even gave him back the photographs and emails that I had sent in my original application.
