THIS IS ACTUALLY GUAYAQUIL EMBASSY
In preparation for K-1 visa and after reading reviews on this site of the experiences in the Guayaquil Emabassy I personally went to embassy to speak with the officers, interviewers and workers in general. Asking for advise and guideance in expectation of the process.
I arrived at Emabassy WITHOUT appointment. It was appx 2pm on a wednesday. After guards looked at my USA passport they took it inside and told someone I was requesting to speak to consulate. He returned rapidly and explained I could go to website and schedule appointment or return the next day between 8am and 11am and I would be allowed access.
I returned the next morning at appx. 10am. Upon my arrival the same guard as before recognized me and escorted me directly to a security check, after which he instructed another guard to take me inside. I was escorted directly upstairs and to a window to speak with someone.

Review Topic: K1 Visa

This is a review of the Guayaquil Consulate.

Our appointment was scheduled for 8:30 AM. We got there at 8:00AM, but then did not begin to allow people to enter until 8:15 AM. We waited inside for around 2 hours before we were called.

A nice woman collected some papers, but not others. She only wanted new evidence to our relationship and the medical papers, not the police or birth certificate, nor my financial information. She asked my fiancee and I how we met, when she got the engagment ring, where we got engaged, how many times each of us visited each other, when and where we will be married and honeymoon, and a few other questions.

We then waited for for 20 minutes and we interviewed by the Consul and had no problems. We got the VISA and are very happy.

(No coins, no cell phones, nothing electronic). We went straight to the second floor which was quiet. Make sure not to bring anything but your documents.
9:00 am Someone comes upstairs and gives a speech about what to do and asked us to stand up to take the oath. He explains about what to do during and after the interview.
9:30 am They call our name and we go to Window 5, Ecuadorian lady (she returns some documents from the initial application-bank statements financial documents)asks for *Birth Certificate *Passport & Pictures *DS-156, DS-156K & $131 Receipt *Medical Records (she took the envelope only, not the Xrays) *Evidence for Relationship - We gave her the Skype conversations, Emails, pictures, ATT cellphone statements, Porta c... read complete review
