Okay so here's my review of the consulate in Guayaquil Ecuador. My wife's appointment was scheduled for July 31st at 8:30 a.m., I have been communicating with the consulate from time to time concerning our interview, and they were helpful in providing answers and resources. My wife and I just recently had a son, and so it was required that we would need to bring him with us as he still needs to breastfeed. When we arrived at first we weren't sure, but then they let my wife enter with the baby, however I needed to stay outside, which I understood because they want to limit the amount of people coming in. There was an official there that helped my wife with the baby. Overall the process was almost two hours, my wife said she waited about an hour, and then had a first interview with someone at a window, asking more basic information, digital fingerprints came next, and then a second interview which lasted longer around 15 minutes asking more detailed information about our relationship and... read complete review

My appointment was at 9:30, got there at 9, went through security, everyone at the consulate were very nice, even wished me luck before going inside, once I was inside I waited for like 30 minutes or so and I was called for fingerprints and got asked a few questions like “when did you marry†“is it your first marriage?†“Youâ€ve traveled before to the US with your tourist visa? Did you stay for more than 6 months?†He asked me to give him the evidence of the relationship (I had a lot so he only grabbed some photos of our wedding, a few more I had printed of our trips and some receipts of money my husband sent me during this year. I was told to sit and wait to be called for the interview. I waited for like 1 hour or so and was called again, the lady was very kind she just asked me simple questions like how we met, how long we’ve been married, if we had children, then stopped to checked the photos, smiled for a second while watching a photo... read complete review

Interview was set at 11:00AM
We arrive at 10:00am
Went thru security about 10:15AM
Ecuadorian Consul ask few questions about the papers of the appointment, the confirmation page DS-160, birth certificate, police records and my fiancee passport.
Then she waited like 40 minutes between the local consul and the US consul
I waited outside because only her was allowed in. However in her interview she was asked the famuous question “When was the last time that I visited her?†My fiacee said “ohhh is outside waiting†She open her eyes and approved the visa on the spot.
Never asked for papers or pictures only 3 questions and boom
She got out like 1:00pm Running in Happiness
Saying in spanish “ME APROVARONâ€
The passport will come in 10 business day after her interview.

My husband had hi interview at the Guayaquil US Consulate in Ecuador. He arrived early with all his documents and at entry was asked to show the letter that he had an interview, once that was provided he went through security check and was told to sit in the waiting room. He was called up to give in all his paperwork and was told to sit down to which the consular will call him for his interview.
Moments later, he was called to begin his interview. The consular asked him a few questions, our relationship, my name, my job, what he plans on doing in the US, and that was pretty much it. He was then told he was approved and received a slip which told him congratulations and what to expect in the upcoming days as the Visa is being processed.
It took a week and 2 days to receive the stamped Visa in his passport.
Overall it went smooth and there were no problems for him.
