ok, I must confess this is a really stressing process and you need patient all the time, I arrive at 8h00 am since my interview was at 8h30, it was full, so we were in different places, I just got called by 11, and I gave all my papers and they were checked, I think this is really important DONT SAY I THINK.. OR HMMM, OR GIVE A WRONG INFORMATION bc you were too nervous and couldnt remember, I saw 2 girls doing that and one needed his fiance to come with her and the other was denied, by the way my fiance was not with me, coming back to the first place I was called, they asked me about his family, my family, specific dates when he entered to Ecuador and how many times, how we met, while they were checking my pics, I brought 50 pics of us together, and with my family, having fun in the beach, well in all the places we took pics, they also asked me how often we talk and how do we communicate and if i was working or not, AGAIN JUST TELL THE TRUTH, i told them we talk everyday and text throu... read complete review

I have been wanting to put this out there for some time so I might as well do it now.
In general our experience was like anyone else's. A lot of waiting for the NOA2 and then the scheduling of the interview. Everything is nerve wracking and you are always afraid someone is going to tell you sorry and hand back months of hard work. Looking back it's one of those things that you just have to wait on and plug through it and it should all work out, but don't expect it to be a cake walk.
We had the same experience the morning of our interview - the self-important guard who thought he owned the place and the funny guy who gives you the run down of how it works. Then you wait. When we finally got called, we were asked a few questions related to when we met and things about the wedding. My thoughts at the time were that it is all up to the one person interviewing you. We arrived at 7:30 and were allowed to enter the building at 8:00. We waited in the back room until 10:30 when we were called up to the window to submit our paperwork from Packet 4. She also returned paperwork from our I-129 Packet that was no longer needed. She asked a few questions about our relationship and focused on specific dates. (i.e. how long ago did you meet? Say 2008 instead of 3 years ago). At about 10:45 He was called up to do prints.
At 11:30 we were called up for the real interview. My fiance was again asked questions about our relationship, relatives living in the States, his time in the States, but what flustered him the most is why we applied for the K1 visa instead of CR-1. I (USC) had been living in GYE for 4 years, but never meet the 6 month requirement, so be prepared to answer this question if you\'ve spent significant time in Ecuador.

After 7 months of paperwork and waiting it was time for our interview. Visa Journey was a great reference for us, and hopefully this review can help someone else. To be honest after reading the discussion posts and reviews of the Guayaquil Consulate I was pretty nervous about the interview. We compiled A TON of evidence and made sure that I was able to attend with my husband. I am not sure if the consulate has improved or just that we were very prepared but the interview was a smooth process for us.
Our appointment was scheduled for 7:15 and we were there by 6:15, there were two lines already formed one for immigrant visas and the other for non-immigrant visas. We were 4th in line and waited until about 7:00 when someone from the embassy came out. First he took the immigrant visa line (make sure you have your appointment letter and photos out), but when he got to my husband and I he told us that I would not be permitted to enter until 8:00. Arrived at 7:30 for an 8:30 appointment. We were allowed to get in line around 8:00. After a few hours of waiting we were called up and asked for our various items of paperwork and then told to sit down. Next he was called up for fingerprints then we waited a while longer. Finally a third person called us up and asked us a few questions about how we met, how many times I visited him, and what our wedding plans were. Then she told us we were approved and gave us a paper with directions on when and where to pick the visa and passport up. Overall very easy, the worst part was the wait (we finished about 12:30).
