We arrived at the Consulate Office around 4:00 AM, there weren't that many people on the line, our Interview was scheduled for 6:45am, but we waited until they opened at 6:00AM, everyone got a ticket (number)on the line. When inside some people were called by that number some people were called by their names. The numbers were given randomly, so every one was confused, they would call from number 300,to 130 and 800 yes, there was no organization outside the line; we got inside all we had to do was wait for the number we were assigned, and go to the window they announced. After so much waiting, we had our interview, the consul greeted us in Spanish, I started to talk in English, he asked me in English if my fianceé knew how to speak English, obviously not, I told him so, he started to ask me question in English then he asked my fiancée the same questions in Spanish, he asked questions like, How did you guys met?, When did you meet?, Were did I work at?, What type of job did I do?, Who... read complete review

So here it goes..
I arrived to the DR the 14th of May. My baby and I spent the next day and half "preparing" for the big day. On the 15th, I was talking to a fellow VJ member, when she pointed out that I needed to have my marriage certificate from my previous marriage. OMG I was freaking out b/c I did not have neither did I think I thought I should have it, being that I had submitted that document when I did the I-129f. I had to asked my friend from my job to please go to my house and scan that document and email it to me. Well that was a success (Thank God). So after practicing...I encountered a very informative website, and used those questions as practice. We went to sleep early, but before we did, we made a prayer to the heavenly father, and asked that what ever decision was made, we would be content.

We woke up at 2 am (since we live in Santiago)Our friend came and picked us up at 3 am. We felt so prepared and confident in the most high. I fell asleep on our ... read complete review

Hey loves sorry for the late review but I have been busy celebrating!!!
First and foremost I want to thanks god for making all this possible, secondly my fiancé for being such an amazing person and lastly but not least my visajourney family, thanks for all the support and guidance.

So our interview was on Friday 04/19/2013 at 6:45am so we woke up and at 2am and started heading over to the capital by 2:45am. once we reached the capital these corny cops tried to stop us. seriously in DR you cant distinguish the real cops from the fake cops so my fiancé kept it moving but then they chased us and got really nasty with us but my fiancé has a uncle that is a bigg dog in the police department in Santiago and they got scared!!! smh... I swear you have to have patience with all these buscones!!! javascript:emoticon('')

Anyways back to the interview.
So we arrive at 4:45am and waited until 6:45am, that's when they started taking th... read complete review

we got there at 4:00 AM, first in line. buscones in full effect! everything went smoothly & quickly. Ladies, my advice is don't take a purse, women w/ out purse get to through the line MUCH faster. We were called to window 18 to turn in forms, acta de nacimiento, police certificate, passport, banco popular receipts & cedula. then we were sent to window 14 to pay, then pack to window 18 to show the receipt. later we were called to window 15 & my fiance's fingerprints were taken, a little while later we were called to window 25, sworn in & asked a few basic questions, how & when did you meet, the da:tes of previous trips, if i had met my fiances family, how many siblings he has, his parents names. the consular officer only asked to see pictures. he asked if i had phone bills & i said yes & started to get them out & he said he didn't need to see them. he spoke to me in English & my fiance in Spanish. most of the questions were for me, the last question was "what would happen to t... read complete review

Thanks God and everybody here. I'm glad to tell we got approved.
We woke up at 4 am, arrived 4:55 and there were over 70 people ahead of us in line. At 6:20 they started to give tickets, ours were 72. By 6:32 they line started to move and by 6:45 we were both in.

At 7:30 more or less, they called us to drop off the documents (birth certificates, police record, medical results, etc). Then we went back to sit, 5 min later they called us to pay the 80 USD fees. 15 mins later they called us again for finger printing... after that the wait was longer, finally by 9:05 they called us for the interview at window 21!

She greeted us smiling and asked our names, then she asked Tim if he spoke Spanish to which he replied "no spañol" lol, then she turned to me and asked do you speak English?, I said yes, she smiled and said great, then let's have this interview in English!,she sworn us in,then started to ask a whole bunch of things specially to Tim lol.
