We arrived at 5:30A and there were already four couples in line. We were let in around 6:45A. They separated us into males and females after we handed our appointment letter and were given a number. Our number was 227. We went through security, which included patting us down.
At around 11:30A, we were called to window 17 for his passport, form DS-160 confirmation page, DS-157K (which we had to complete because we did not bring), the two Banco Popular receipts and the police report. They did not ask for my affidavit or any other forms. We were told to pay $80 at window 14 and sit down.
About 20 minutes later, they called my fiancé by name to return to window 17. We were told that there was a mistake on DS-160; we did not include his middle name. We were given a green temporary pass to exit and return. We walked to a nearby Internet cafe where we made the change and printed the new confirmation page. After stopping at Helados Bon (que buenos son! lol), we r... read complete review

We stayed at Jardines del Teatro the night before. It was a 5 minute walk to the Embassy. Appointment was at 8:45 am. Arrived at the Embassy at 7:30 am.
After about an hour wait we got called up to give his police certificate and got his fingerprints. Then we sat down and waited until about 2:20 to be called up for our interview!
The lady asked my husband his questions in Spanish:
1. How did you meet your wife?
2. Where does she work and what is her position?
3. Does she like her job?
4. What does her family think of your relationship?
5. Was she married before?
6. How old was she when she got married?
7. Why did they divorce?
Then she asked me my questions in English:
Same ones she asked him to see if I would answer correctly (and I did) as well as:
1. What are his parent's names?
2. How many children does his mom have?
3. Where does he fall in t... read complete review

We were in line by 5am in the building AFTER our 6:45am appt. time due to the Embassy employees delays in opening the doors and processing people. We were approved and out the door by 1:20pm. More than 8 hours later.
The cafeteria is a rip off and the food is gross!
We were called initially pretty quickly then it took several hours for us to be called for fingerprints and a few more hours for us to be interviewed and approved.
Our Interview overall was pretty quick but there were TWO Officers not one.
The older male officer was VERY skeptical, very intimidating, unhappy, curt, direct, and somewhat menacing in his demeanor. The female officer also looked unphased... and a little annoyed at hiving him present.
She asked how we met? When I attempted to answer, the male officer began cutting me off and asking questions twisting my responses to NOT what I had answered.
Then the male officer asked wh... read complete review

I wish I had known that cell phones were prohibited. I thought it was okay to have the cell phones powered off while in the embassy. However, they were not allowed at all in the embassy! I was forced to surrender my cell phones to a group of people across the street and go back and wait in line again to get in! Then I had to pay five dollars after the interview to get my cell phones (mine and my fiance's) back.
We got at the embassy about fifteen minutes after five. There was already a long line of people. Are visa appointment time was at 6:45AM. I also wish I had known that the visa interview would not be at exactly 6:45AM. I was stressed because we didn't even gain entrance into the building until about 6:45 so at first I thought we were going to miss our interview. None of the guards outside the embassy explain what is going on. In fact, no guards showed up until after six.
When we both finally got into the embassy (I gained entrance a... read complete review
