My husband’s appointment was at 7:30 AM but he arrived at the embassy at 6 AM 🤦🏾‍♀️ Lol. He said that a few minutes past 7:30, the security officer instructed those who had an appointment for 7:30 to enter the embassy. He said it was a really simple process. He was only asked to show a few documents (police certificate, marriage certificate). He said the interview itself was fairly short and probably took about 5 mins. She asked him seven questions:

How many people were at your wedding and who were they?
Where was your wedding?
What did you do after your wedding?
What does your wife do for work?
How long has your wife been in the USA?
Who lives with her?
Where did you meet ?

After he answered the questions, the consular officer told him he was approved and gave him instructions to return his passport. Overall, it was a fairly simple process and a lot easier than I thought it w... read complete review

Our appointment was scheduled for 9:00 am. We arrived at the Embassy at 8:30 am. We ere greeted by a female officer who asked for the interview confirmation letter. Then we waited to be searched and checked in. My fiance and I had a bit of a hard time as they kept telling me that I could not come in with him. As all the other reviews have stated, they were allowed to come with their fiance's. I became a bit pushy and they let me in after a 10 minute complaint. When we got there we were motioned to a window on the left.

We rang a small button and an attendant came out. He asked for the interview letter and DS160 confirmation and asked us to sit down. Then the attendant called for us again. He asked that we go pay at the cashiers at the next window. We paid $265 US and brought the receipt back. My fiance was asked to verify his date of birth, and to give a copy of his birth certificate. (we did not have a copy, which irritated the attendant. He left and made a copy) My fi... read complete review

Things went well and we were approved on September 22nd! Surprisingly, they were all so nice at the embassy. Come early, bring a bag for anything you want to eat or drink, because you'll be putting it in a locker along with your phone. They let in people 2 at a time to go through security, then you're escorted into the waiting room--I think they have an additional waiting room when the original one fills up.

The appointment was at 9am, but we got there at 7:30 via two buses. I thought we'd be too early, but it took like one hour to get through security, get ourselves situated, stop sweating, lol (the embassy is air conditioned, don't worry), and chill out to be ready for the interview. Both of us were allowed to go through the whole process together.

Once you get to the waiting room, you wait until you see an open window, and then give your appointment letter to a person at windows 1, 2 or 3--the other windows seemed to be for non K visa types. You sit b... read complete review

Went to the interview as early as possible. Got there a litle before 6 am and was the first in ine by 6:30. Doors opened at 7 am went through security and was seated by 7:30. Got called to the window 1. The guy asked for our appointment letter and sent us back to our seats. We were then called back to the window and asked to go pay the visa fee at the cashier and return to window 1. He then asked for the civil documents (he was a bit mean). Once he collected all the documents he needed he asked us to take a seat and wait to be called. They only took the documents from my fiance, the affidavit of support and my 2012 tax return. We were then paged to go to interview room #7. The Officer was very nice and friendly. Asked how we knew each other, where we planned on having our wedding, if we had any kids, then he saw that my fiance has his own plumbing business and asked if he plans on continuing the same thing up here. The experience was not really bad. So far this has been the easiest par... read complete review

So, my fiance had his interview today. Overall, it went very well.
There was a guy at a window who asked him for a form. My fiance wasn't sure which form he was asking for. So, he was fumbling through the papers and the guy said are you nervous sir? lol He told him "Don't be nervous at all."
I thought the encouragement was great after all the horror stories.

Then, once finished there, he said he had to sit outside without several other people for a few hours.

Once they called his name, an older caucasion man took him into the interview room and began asking questions.Such as,

Where did we meet?
Did I come to Dominica?
How long was I in DOminica?
Tell me something about your US fiance....
Have you ever used Drugs/Chemical Substances.....
Do you or your fiance have any children?

I will add this.....when they asked my fiance How long I came to Dominica for? He told them "one week... read complete review
