Our interview was on March 2, 2010 at the Colombia embassy. We arrived in Bogota early Monday morning on a long bus ride from Medellin. We attempted to pay the visa fee at Banco De Credito near the embassy on Monday but upon our arrival at 430pm the bank was close. The bank closes at 3pm. So we just relaxed the rest of the day. On March 2, we woke up at 4am to get ready to go to the embassy, we woke up early because buses and taxis were not running and we were told that it would take us about an hour and a half to walk to the embassy from where we were staying. God was with us that day because when we left her uncles house we found a taxi driver that was taking patrons. We arrived at Cipress Plaza at 615am which is where the bank is to pay the visa fee. We were second in line and just waited for 7am when the bank opens. My fiancé uncle and brother waited in the line a... read complete review

My fiance and I arrived at around 6:20 AM. They let everyone into the embassy around 6:40. We got out of there around 11:30 AM. Most of the time is spent sitting down waiting to be called to a a few different windows. First, they have a line to check over all your documents to make sure you are not missing something. After that you collect your documents in a folder in the order that they prescribe. This folder does not include any of the evidence of your relationship but pretty much everything else. Make sure you sign the affidavit of support beforehand even though the appointment package states not to sign anything. One of the people checking over our documents got annoyed with us because we did not have that specific form signed. After you get all of your documents checked you can sit down and wait for your name to be called. They call my fiance's name three times to three different windows. All of the windows were green but they were spread out all over the courtyard so you can sit... read complete review
