My fiance was approved today. I was not able to travel down and be with her for the interview but I spoke with her several times about what questions would be asked of her. The questions I saw in other reviews were very helpful. Make sure all of your paperwork is organized. Do this by using the guides within this site relating to K1 Visa's. Carefully check and double check everything, making sure there are no missing signatures. This is especially crucial if you can not travel to be with your fiance for the interview. My fiance decided to spend the night at one of the many inexpensive hotels near and around the US Embassy. Google "Casa" and Hotel and Bogota and US Embassy and a slew of nearby hotels will pop up. Prices range from $50 to $100, depending how far in advance you can reserve the room. The previous day she arrived from Palmira at 7am after a 12 hour bus ride. My fiancée's visa was approved in February/13. She is now here in the US with me and we are getting married next week.
The IO asked my fiancée several questions like how we met, how many times had I been in Colombia visiting her and a few more intimate questions. Fortunately, I decided to travel to be with her during the interview and at the end, I can tell that if hadn't gone to the interview with her, the visa wouldn't have been approved.
My fiancée mentioned to the IO that I was there with her and he totally ignored her, but then he asked my fiancée to call me to the window and while my fiancée waited seated a few feet away, the IO asked me exactly the same questions he asked my fiancée, plus two or three more in detail.
At the end of the interview, I felt that some of the questions were somehow too personal, but I guess they are in that position to ask.
If I need to make a recommendation to anyone having an interview at the Colombian Consulate, tha... read complete review

My wife had the interview at 10am and arrived at 9am. She was out by 9:30am from the embassy, asked a few questions. An American lady interviewed her, who was very polite and helpful. There was a part of the DS-230 in which was filled incorrectly, she just made her re-do it and signed part 2 in front of her. She was asked the following. How did you both meet? Do you have any pets, What date did you get married, Why didn't you see each other during the 1.7 year period. They asked her for a recent police report, which she had printed out 7 days prior. After the questions, the IO said everything is in order but one thing. I gave my wife a copy of my 2012 taxes just in case, but with no W-2's. I thought they would have used the 2011 transcript since tax deadline is April 15 2013. That wasn't the case, she just instructed her to have me send her an email to the embassy ASAP with the W-2's to verify the information on the turbox tax print outs to make sure it was I that made that amount.
