It was alot easier than I thought, but I had a 4" folder bulging with copies of everthing and anything else that I thought I could stuff into it. Our interview was at 9:30 but my wife was waved up to a window early. There was a lady that asked her a few questions about her family and if everything was correct. She also asked for my wife's medical report from the exams and then told us to wait until called. We had some coffee while we waited and then we heard her name being called. There was a man behind the window-very nice by the way and asked her like 3 questions. He asked to speak to me and asked me where I live and will this be the first time my wife will be leaving her country. Then asked to speak to her again. He was smiling the whole time and told my wife that she came very prepared with alot of papers! He took one look at my folder and didn't even bother to ask for anything.Come prepared even if you don't think that you need it, if they see you come prepared they will know you ... read complete review

Our experience could hardly have been better. The wait was not unreasonable - less than an hour - and the woman at the window was polite, professional, and cheerful. She asked my fiancee a few reasonable questions as I waited in the background seated on a low wall near the benches / waiting area.
After a few minutes, my fiancee waived me forward and the woman greeted me pleasantly. Then we were approved!

We arrived about one hour before our appointment and waited in the line to get in the embassy maybe about half of an hour at the most. Once we were inside i had barely finished my cup of coffee before they called my fiance. I think me being with her shortened the interview because it only took about three minutes. The women behind the glass waived me forward with her but did not ask me anything and only asked my fiance how we met and how long she was in the u.s. when she visited me, and if she had overstayed her visa. (She has a tourist visa.) That was all she asked, then said the visa was approved.

We had our appointment at 10:30, arrived there about 9 AM, there was a long line along the fence but that seems to be for tourist visa I think, for k1 visas is lane 3,there were very few people for that,A person asked to see our documents to make sure that they were in the correct order before they let us in.. once inside there were two windows for k1 visas, windows 3 and 4, the lady behind the glass was very rude!!!!She checked our documents and complained that the income tax paperwork was inside of an envelope,we had to get it out..once she checked everything again she told us to sit down and wait to be called, after about 20 minutes we were called for the interview,it took about five minutes and our visa was aproved
