Review Topic: K1 Visa

We arrived about one hour before our appointment and waited in the line to get in the embassy maybe about half of an hour at the most. Once we were inside i had barely finished my cup of coffee before they called my fiance. I think me being with her shortened the interview because it only took about three minutes. The women behind the glass waived me forward with her but did not ask me anything and only asked my fiance how we met and how long she was in the u.s. when she visited me, and if she had overstayed her visa. (She has a tourist visa.) That was all she asked, then said the visa was approved.

Review Topic: K1 Visa

We had our appointment at 10:30, arrived there about 9 AM, there was a long line along the fence but that seems to be for tourist visa I think, for k1 visas is lane 3,there were very few people for that,A person asked to see our documents to make sure that they were in the correct order before they let us in.. once inside there were two windows for k1 visas, windows 3 and 4, the lady behind the glass was very rude!!!!She checked our documents and complained that the income tax paperwork was inside of an envelope,we had to get it out..once she checked everything again she told us to sit down and wait to be called, after about 20 minutes we were called for the interview,it took about five minutes and our visa was aproved

The wait is finally over! My husband is finally by my side!!
My husband said that at the interview they only asked him a few questions:

Do you swear that you're about to tell the truth and nothing but the truth?:
Who is petitioning for you?:
What is she to you:
When was the last time you saw her?:

Congrats your Visa is approved!

I wasn't able to make it to the interview which made me a little nervous but thank God everything came out great!

Good luck to everyone that's going through this process.... my best advice is to be patient and pray a lot. :-)

We had our appointment at 7:30am....We arrived at 6:30am and there was a long line waiting for the embassy staff to come out to start the process. The embassy staff came out around 7am and broke up the line according to the visa type. For our K1 visa we end up on line 3. Once on line 3 the embassy staff gave us direction on what order they wanted the documents in. From there we cleared security and went to window 4 where a Colombian embassy staff reviewed the documents and asked question about me and my fiancee and they asked just to sit and wait for her name to be called. In about 30 minutes, the American Consul called us and asked her to swear the she will be telling the truth. 3 simple question were asked. 1) Where will you live in the US 2) when and where did you meet 3) when did he arrived from the US on this trip. The she advised her that the visa was approved.

Overall a great experience
