So, my fiance had his interview last Wednesday, August 19th. All in all, it went very well. I accompanied him and the appointment was for 9:00AM. Do not arrive too early. They do not let anyone in prior to 15 minutes before your actual appointment time. There were a lot of people just hanging outside the embassy along the sidewalk. When we entered, we went to one line where we were greeted by an embassy employee. She gave us a small piece of paper which told us the order to place all the documents. The order was:
DS-160 Confirmation Page
Birth Certificate
Divorce Petition
Judicial Certificate
Medical Exam
Form I-134 and backup
Passport
2 Photos
We placed everything in that order, then went through a security gate, similar to the airport security. YOU CAN APPARENTLY BRING CELLPHONES NOW, as many people had cellphones.
Once inside, we were instructed to take a seat up close to w... read complete review

First a big thank you to VISAJOURNEY and all those that contribute who made the interview easy to handle through great guides and posts that allowed to us to properly plan and organize everything from the initial application to the interview.
So….We waited over 9 months for approval of our K1 Visa application and 6 weeks more to finally schedule our appointment at the Bogota Embassy. Thus we were extremely anxious. First I would recommend that while you wait to schedule your appointment with the embassy, make sure you gather necessary documents whether your financials for support or birth certificates for your beneficiary. We had all our documents ready and were able to schedule an appointment with just a little over a week advance notice. We also sent paperwork to the embassy and applied for the visa 3 days after I obtained the case and invoice number. Thus did not wait for embassy to email me.
Week of interview: My fiancée lives in Medellin, so we ... read complete review

Visa approved!!!! We had a wonderful experience with the embassy in Bogota. We arrived 1.5 hours before the appointment. They do attend people on a first come, first serve basis. We were there a total of 2-3 hours. They only asked us four basic questions- 1. How did you meet? 2. When did you get married? 3. How did you see each other during the past year? 4. Have you lived outside of the country during the last year?
They did not even look at our original documents, evidence, or anything except the medical results. (Of course, you should bring them anyway). Everyone was very nice.

We had a very smooth interview day. Overall we were in the embassy for maybe two hours. After waiting for a few minutes my fiance was called up to one of the windows to answer a few questions and have a quick review of her documents. She was then told to sit and wait. She was called up again after maybe 20 more minutes. She was interviewed for about 5 minutes and then the visa was approved.
The questions were basic: does he speak Spanish/do you speak English? What does he do? Were either of you previously married? Do either of you have any children? There might have been a couple of others, but nothing any more in depth than these.
I don't think they really looked at the proof of relationship beyond what was in my initial submittal. So I wouldn't go too overboard putting together a massive package. I did attend the interview with her, but it wasn't my impression that it made any difference with the result.
A couple of caveats: the interview was scheduled just after... read complete review
